[help needed] Mac OS user with programming experience to debug Beatmeter Generator on Mac OS

Beatmeter Generator still seems to have problems on Mac OS. For many users it seems to hang right after startup.
To fix this issue, I need someone that helps me to analyse the problem on Mac OS.
You should be able to build a Java/Scala application from source and use a debugger or add some debugging code to a program (e.g. print statements). Also, you should be able to invest some time into it, as this could be difficult to track down.
(If it were a straight forward programming error it would probably occur on all platforms).
