Hi!

I decided to take the plunge and start creating an online database about Cock Hero productions. My approach is for the data to be searched, sorted and filtered any way possible. No ad will pester the website and people won't need to register unless they wish to participate. People will be able to rate/vote and leave reviews (or link to reviews here). Nonsense (like we see on other social media) will be moderated. I wanted to have this even before I could join here, but I never could find a website suitable to host it or willing to host it, so now I'll do it. One thing my project will not do is host the productions, or provide download links. This is too much problems/maintenance for me. It will just contain text fields and descriptions. So, as it always been the case, people will still have to be creative to get what they want as it always were.

Btw, as for so many Cock Hero productions, there's no release date. But you can always click the link from time to time.

Dude, awesome! Let me know if you need any help. Tester, UI, share ideas, etc. It'd be great to have a comments section. And let creators manage their own entries, update, provide a description, etc.

Lots, of good idead, Barebone. My first step is to design the interface and structure so (data) editors can start some data entry (for those interested), so I'm not the only one doing the heavy lifting. I certainly see a need for several levels of EDIT privileges, and a system UNDO in case some jurk tries to sabotage the data. I can start with a minimum set, then add other data fields and features over time. Comments/reviews are certainly on my wish list. Also, if a member likes the reviews of another member, there will be a way to move them higher on their personal newsfeed (commentfeed, ...).

Liquid, those are 'sound' files right? They are not that big anyway, and certainly no copyright issues. Sure, I don't have a problem with that, and they will all be centralized.

I'll bump this thread from time to time when something significant is added to the website.

Are you going for a wiki type site, or are you making a schema for a proper database?
What are you using?

Not quite - they are text or json files that contain timestamps of the videos and positions.
So if you for example have a Fleshlight Launch, with those files it can mimic the video or in case of CH videos move up/down to the beat. I currently keeep a collection of them in a [url=https://github.com/FredTungsten/Scripts/]github-repo{/url] but a website dedicated to CH would be a lot better

HTML, CSS and javascript; and PHP+MySQL from the ground up for the backend. I'm old-school.

No monkey external libraries that we can't know fully what they do, and they could very well spy on us for all I know.

I checked the Github link, Liquid. All files are human redable as they are text based. I don't see any issue with viruses because of that. They seem a bit big to occupy a database field. It will be simpler to store them directly on the website own space and propose a download link on each Cock Hero production's page.

Looking forwars to it! Year ago I had an Excel file and tried to track of all Cock Heros but I was overwhelmed when so many new creators started making them that I stopped it. Maybe it can be of value?!

Will your database also list the names of the models appearing in the respective productions? That would be great! (I know that it will mean some work to collect them all, but maybe you could provide for an input field where people can make suggestions. This way a lot of the discussions and search for models could be consolidated in one place..)
