We are talking a lot and I feel it might replace regular forums someday but figured to advertise here on Milovana as we have so many creators here. This might bring us together fully. We have big names here already; alot of them. I'm hoping to at least to get our HMV creators to the same channel.

I think both platforms are good. A problem with chat rooms is that video releases are disorganized, something that forums handle very well. However, forums don't have group spontaneity that helps bring creative ideas to life.

About the PORN EDIT chat room, I'll be brutally honest, I'm very disappointed about the restructuring that occurred there lately. People are assigned tags enabling themselves have conversation among themselves, but fans are left out of this creative energy. I have this feeling that their use for being there, the fans, is just to raise an army of PornHub and Reddit upvote clicking. I really hate segregation!

As a member of the discord group, as a fan, I have enjoyed some of the chat but I mostly like the links to really good PMVs and other work posted there. It is mostly a certain group chatting most of the time. Many top notch creators are present.
And yes it is changing continually.

Doremi is right its just a shitty place to get up-votes with people begging for their videos to be up-voted.
It is sad if you have to ask for people to like your content and not get genuine likes.

I am Skerrako, a editor over at the discord posted above, and glad to just pop in clear up some concerns

Porn Edits was originally made about a year ago for Editors and aspiring Editors to get together, exchange ideas and become better at our chosen craft. We then realized that is could function as a "permanent" tool for those who like Edits such as CH and PMVs, since tube site accounts and videos get taken down so often, so it was opened up to the public.

Group spontaneity and flow of creative ideas is always an issue, your right about your 1st point! but I dont think our discord is devoid of this....in fact I re-call having numerous creative sessions with you and others about the shape and structure of most PMVs, and how you wanted to create one differently. You are a friend I certainly wanted to help, Im suprised you didnt just mention you felt this way about changes, all can rest assured there is certainly no "segregation" going on, but just a certain reverence for the editors...these are the people that have put in hard work, time and talent into making a video for them (and more importantly) others to enjoy.

To be honest I am not one for much self promotion on the discord, it does seem quite silly to me personally....but isnt it a good thing that so many cool edits are coming down the pipeline? its like you may be complaining about too many PMVs and CHs, and you are never beholden to vote on anything.

Also, tags dont mean only other people with those tags can see them, thay are you so anyone there can tag a particular group...the opposite of splitting up into groups :)

Well I think Doremi can and did speak for himself, and was much more nuanced than that. I noticed you posted this same comment in our discord and then left, which I found extremely rude, this is my 1st post on Milovana, and did I take a 2 minute look around, proclaim it a "shitty" place and run away? definitely not, I look forward to exploring and seeing what it can offer.

Secondly, Im willing to gamble some creators that you follow on here post their work on our boards, so ironically you may be dissing the very folks whos work you enjoy . does that make you liking any of their vids less genuine? Its a porn Edits Discord, thus Porn Edits are posted...lol. But I wouldn't explect much from someone who simply flames and runs

In Closing just wanted to again say that all are welcome, a lively conversation is impossible when people dont participate, and no amount of forum restructuring can make up for that. We are not perfect, and the mods are always striving to make Porn Edits a better place for editors and those that enjoy edits, along with support for any folks honestly wanting to try their hand at editing...so lets be that change which we seek.

To me it looks like you searched the word "upvote" in one of the 10+ rooms and took a screen shoot of the result in some sort of suedo-valiant attempt to feel correct. but the dates are also removed, or everyone would see how far apart some of those threads are. to present accurately, the room you refer to actually looks like this:

Ohh separately I did want to mention to anyone else that many editors post lossless versions of their compilations in our forums, ones that have not been compressed and muddied by a tubesite.

Oh wow I should have used the search function to show more up-votes, I didn't think of that. Then again it wasn't hard to scroll through post after post of up-voting.

The reason for cutting the top of the post off was to not include peoples name for privacy reasons. It really didn't occur to me that a date would make an up-voting post invalid

It is exactly the same as these click farms that are now appearing over the world to give false results. All this does is force other people into having to do the same bullshit tactics to get people thinking they have a good product.

Get some real likes.
Why should all CH creators have to join a place just to compete? It is unfair and will make the creators that don't know/don't want to join in up-voting think they are doing something wrong and in turn stop them making content

Not wanting trolls to derail what Shgth originally wanted this thread for, I just wanted to re-outline what our discord it all about:


constantly helping people, whether they are creators or edit-seekers
organising events to keep the game exciting (Anyone remember the PMV Games?)
reviewing other peoples videos in great detail (only when they ask)
we share footage and music
we teach people how to get successfull
what to avoid, what to look for
We have a "Pornisphical Talk" area, a word coined by me where we muse over the current state of porn and its very exciting future!

we live for this shizz!, and it should be obvious to anyone

However to unlock full site functionality you much at least post once, because no one like a legion of lurkers to silently watch them like a circus act. We protect our members and especially editors from those that would have them all shut down and fined to death for dcma infractions. Lets not be naive, this is the same reason that sites like milovana are invite only.

PS: what a strange world to live in IF jerking off to porn is morally fine, but if you post that same porn in a message board, THAT'S crossing the line into immorality

Yes Facebook is out of bounds now days for sure and so was hi.
So lets talk about positives.
Milovana: Pretty good folks. Some great stuff. The teases and CHs are without equal.
discord group: Pretty good folks. Some great stuff. The PMVs and links to high quality originals are great for sure. They discuss the various technical details of high end editing of PMV/CH type videos and comps. They post music and porn that may be good for getting creators started. They help answer questions.
Milovana: Lots of blogs about all kind of kink. Did I mention the teases?
discord Group: Discussion of how to get your PMV and other work out there for others to see. Some advertising (self promotion?) included in the way of comments. You can skip over them. Oh but I would have missed some of these great works if I didn't read it all. Really good creator links included!

So both places are great if you are an open minded and gentle yet kinky person.

My PC broke and was away a bit longer than I expected. Seems like this derailed quite a bit but all of things are imho important things to discuss about. Be it discord, here or anywhere else. I think myself promoting is a good thing; overdoing it might shy away some people sure but it might gain more(perhaps some balancing could work in favour who knows). Just my 2 cents.. It's not my business to think about things like that.

Just wanted to welcome all for a chance to join a community of some people that think a like. :)

EDIT: We still have content creators with no accounts to Milova. We should fix that.
