Does anyone have any ideas/advice on how to make an at home glory hole that isn't permanent (as in a hole in an actual wall/door/table)?

Perharps a plasterboard can be a good idea if you look for solid material. Or maybe you can use a curtain attached to some kind of raster to reinforce.

You could use anything from a cut-out shower curtain hanging in the bathroom through to a 4 x 8 piece of 5/8" plywood screwed into the wall with floor brackets. If you go for the shower curtain, please remember to create a non-slip surface on the floor and tub to avoid unfortunate slip-and-fall accidents that might require awkward explanations in an emergency room. The plywood idea can actually simulate a bathroom stall if the one side just has 3 ft clearance to next wall. This can be done in a rec-room corner, in a bedroom corner or the kitchen/living room for the adventurous. I am not sure what you are picturing but hopefully this gives you a few ideas :).

Maybe if you did use a table and cut a 50mm hole in the center using a hole saw then it could double up as a trample table. :-)
Maybe then find a vase or a candle holder that would fit in the hole for when not in use.
Or even a place mat could go over the top.

I got an idea.
Why don't use a summer table with a hole for a sunshade?

Nobody will every asks why there is a hole.
