I've never, ever, downloaded a Torrent file before. I also noted there were no instructions as to what to DO with the torrent file.

But I do know about VUZE -- been using this peer-to-peer file sharing application for many years. And sure enough, when I got the download and clicked on it, it automatically opened VUZE and started downloading the file.

Basic torrent concepts: A torrent file is a pointer which causes your torrent client to operate. Usually the file has the file-extension ".torrent" at the end of it. People put these things together to help one another share files. They're usually very small -- only roughly 20 Kb is necessary for all the info they have to contain -- and therefore can be easily downloaded. As mentioned, the torrent file simply makes the torrent client work.

A torrent client is a software program. When you run it, it will fetch the main files to which the torrent points (in this case, a video file, and maybe a few JPG images to go along with it). It fetches those files from a large number of other users, using the entire cloud of them as the source, retrieves tons of little pieces from tons of users who are all on-line "seeding", and stitches all the little pieces together. You need a torrent client. I suggest you get Deluge here https://deluge-torrent.org/ . Reading the FAQ should help you understand anything that's not yet clear.

Using Vuze is sometimes problematic, but it should work about as well as Deluge for these purposes. If you have been using Vuze you have probably been downloading torrents.
