Yeah still no easy way to delete your own account...
not that I would ever want to..

but it would be helpful to have a Delete this account button.. with a are you sure button..
hell I would have a third button.. are you Really sure??

Seriously just stop using the account.. it will fade


but I wonder how much room is taken up by "dead" accounts on this site
maybe some housekeeping??
have a feature that deletes accounts if user is inactive for a whole year?

Dead accounts don't really hog any significant amount of space at all compared to all the downsides of letting users delete their own accounts:

- accidental deletes, with the following whines
- implicit deletion of teases and posts (both negative imo)
