When I try to check my private messages I get

That sounds like a temporary error on the server.
Private messages are working for me.
Have you still got a problem or is it working again?

I've been getting that "General Error" message too on certain messages...kind of a bummer when I'm trying to get one of my teaseboys all worked up or read his drooling appreciations of me...

I get that same error... Every single time I access the PM system...
For days now...

having a quick google that is a timeout error.
Do you have a lot of messages in your inbox?
If so I would try moving them to a folder or deleteing some.

I probably am at my limit, but the obvious problem is that I can't get IN to my PM system to delete any messages... A proverbial Catch-22 regarding your solution....

Yeah without someone with admin access deleting some or increasing the time out it is difficult to resolve.
The site owner has not had much time recently for the site so things are difficult to resolve.
I guess we just need to be grateful that we have the site and hope he either gets time or finds someone he can trust that he gives access to as well.
Giving the server level access needed to resolve things like this is not something you do lightly.

I can't do anything to help you. So I guess It can only be done by ph0x or dark, and I haven't noticed them around for quite a while...

Well, just tried to create a new "back-up" account, and the system won't let me do ~that~ either....
