the issue with the beep isn't (necessarily) that it's there, ti's really piercing and annoying is the issue - even for a pain slut ;)

just blanking out or a much lower (pitch and/or volume) version

it's a great idea, thanks for doing this; i'm not that into it, to be honest, but also not not into it, so to speak, and i think it depends a lot on the context

The beep i made at 20% of the original volume, my original thoughts was that it would make it off putting and even more frustrating, although now I think it was slightly too much.

Originally I even thought about using an even more annoying sound such as a cartoon noise or something that would be off putting.

This is right in my wheelhouse because I'm naturally pixelated myself, so seeing women who are a real treat. :)
