I notice that my stuff's not very popular. That doesn't upset me particularly, but it does make me feel less like bothering to write new teases.
I think tease writing is an art form, and as such it is actually above competition.
I realise this isn't the way the world works. We are daily bombarded by lists, hit parades, league tables and elimination games ( TV shows- you know the ones- where one person is voted off every week) about every aspect of life. I think it's a double-double drag, (abusing a Prince lyric there.)
For every one person who wins a tease of the month, and ever five who are nominated- there are maybe a hundred others who might feel disappointed.
Isn't this a bit short- sighted? What if fear of failure, or of a bad reaction, actually prevents people from writing new teases? Could we all be missing out?
Here, we're dealing with people's innermost sexual thoughts. We're all different inside. No- one sets out to write a bad tease, surely?
So, politely, I'm asking, am I alone in thinking the whole vote system, and tease of the month, is a hindrance not a help?
(If it weren't there, and users want to give feedback to writers, there's always the forum!)

First I want to thank you for your contributions. If writing webteases is an art form for you, then do it because its in you to do it. If the grade bothers you, change the way you write or the pics you use. Find out in here why OR look to the teases that score the highest and see how they differ from yours. I've seen your teases and I think some of them are great! The Panty Hunt series was GREAT! I really enjoyed it! I do like the votes, they kinda keep a standard for the site. I am usually in line with the higher scoring teases and the ones that score lower I usually don't like. Yours are Good scoring teases, not the highest but certainly far from the lowest. Anyway however the site decides to approach this I'm sure will be the right course. I do think voting should continue and I do think you should continue writing teases. :) ( mostly of women in satin panties) (face sitting, smothering) (body worship) (drugged, hypnoed) Those'll all score 10's with me.

a lot of the more 'specialist' teases get average votes becuase they are not to everyones tastes. I find more interesting teases in the 3.5 scores or lower, the higher ones just seem to be your usual Mistress, wank for 100 stokes, edge twice, edge again, slow strokes etc etc...no weird stuff! thats because it will appeal to most visitors to this site.

It doesnt mean your teases are bad so dont be discouraged.

I like the voting system and TOTM, I think it encourages people to write more. (apart from in this case)

Us Guys are hard wired to be competitive.
so I feel your struggle.

I ususally write teases that are
creative and unusual
and often do not recieve high majority votes.

There are several forums out there
for writing (winning) teases) if you search through.

I have found that
my tastes are not what the majority votes for,
even when I look at the teases I like
that others write they are not TOTM matterial.

I want to encourage you to continue writing.

Think of it this way
How many people actually write a tease?
or even post in forums?
Your work is saved in cyberspace
and gives peaple pleasure (and torture)
and adds beauty of naked women

As for me I have my own personal monthly fav.
I use my fav's heart to create my own personnal
tease of the month for me.

I think that the voting system is a huge boost!

I mean, I've only written one tease, and it was TOTM! I set out wanting to make a splash with my first, and I did that by using a teasing concept that was somewhat unique.

That said, I've held off writing others, just waiting for something unique, or at least osmething that I could make a great tease out of, strikes me!

Luckily, something has. It's just taking a while to finish. I just hope people like it when it's all done.

Don't let the voting system discourage you, but let it open your eyes to where you're going wrong, until eventually, you succeed!

I must say that I am also a big fan of the voting system. I know you will probably think that of course that's what I'm going to say because I have won TOTM. I hope this posting doesn't make me sound conceited or anything, but I just wanted to give my experience with Milovana.

I don't think I would have ever written a tease if there wasn't a voting system. I greatly enjoy the rating feedback and the TOTM is just a nice bonus. I agree that writing is an art form and that everyone has different sexual tastes. But I, for one, do not rate a tease lower just because it has a fetish or theme I don't like. I know how much time and thought authors put into writing and I always read each tease to the end and base my rating on the thought, writing, and photos, and not just the subject.

After writing a few teases and getting feedback, I have also started to feel more comfortable posting in the forums. So the rating system has definitley made me a bigger contributor to the site in general.

I hope that you continue to write teases and aren't discouraged just because of a certain rating. You said it yourself, that the rating doesn't bother you particularly. So just write for the joy you get out of it, and who knows, you may turn others on to something new!

I think you're wrong, diddums. I loved the Panty Hunt series, and it has very high ratings, even if they tailed off a little towards the end as the concept started to repeat itself. The Mistress Alison series was slightly less popular, I think, because of the cgi images, which are just more of a niche fetish. Still, your work is totally appreciated and popular, thanks for contributing!

I do vote myself! If I get to the end of a tease, I always vote. And when I cum I always revisit the tease again until I can get through and vote: hell, it's proved itself worth a 5!

Think I'll start putting up discussion threads too, to get feedback; it's certainly helped over the past couple of days. Thankyou all again!
