I have one and it works, though it does hurt at times. Not good for athletic activities.

I should add a warning. I used it over about 75 hours with no real bad effects. A correspondent used one for 29 days but ended up with an infection. I suggest supervised periods of release to allow the flesh to recuperate.
Whenever you start to get hard, it hurts quite a bit. The device can be used to recondition the wearer to not become erect.
