Where can I download
Cock Hero Mastodon? http://www.cockhero.info/cock-hero-mastodon/
Also, who is the author of it? They did a great job and I hope they make another (longer) one.

I'm not sure, but I'd strongly advise
against visiting cockhero.info anymore; people have reported getting viruses and/or malware from that site. There's a thread on it here:
http://www.milovana.com/forum/viewtopic ... 25&t=15652
If you find your answer, please share it, I've never heard of this one; the title intrigues me.

The author is 3ly on pornhub. You can find it without navigating .infos' ads here
http://www.pornhub.com/view_video.php?v ... 1555046749
I don't know if they ever uploaded a higher quality version anywhere, but you can download it with one of those 'download from streaming sites' sites. Tubeoffline works well with pornhub. eg
http://www.tubeoffline.com/download.php ... 1555046749
The pornhub 720HQ version is pretty decent quality by streaming standards, but you need to switch the 'preview' to 720
before clicking generate, or it will default the download link to 480p...you can tell which you're getting from the downloads filename, it'll start with 720p_ if it's the HQ version, 480p_ if it's standard def.

Having watched this the whole way through, I have to say that I found it disappointing. The beats seemed to have almost no reference to beat meter (or the beats were not loud enough to easily discern), which forced me to watch the meter more than I was watching the onscreen action, which completely ruins the CH experience in my opinion.

Thanks for posting about this, I really really enjoyed it.
I didn't have any problems hearing the beats using headphones, and I have good rhythm so my eyes were on the action most of the time. :)

To be fair, I think I was born without rhythm.

I certainly do know what you're talking about, but I didn't personally find Mastodon to be worse in this regard than several other in the cock-hero genre. The thing about this one is that visually, the exact moment of the beat takes place slightly after the sound has started, so I always felt like the visual indication was somehow off-kilter and it made me want to slow down. But because I was able to match the sound without slowing down, I was often getting a kind of cognitive dissonance -- He's behind the beat! No, wait, I'm the one who's behind the beat! No, wait, it's him again ... This was disappointing but I learned simply to ignore the visual meter, except strictly for confirmation of the number of beats per unit of music. It's not ideal, but I felt like I could work around it easily. Maybe you're more visual than I? Whatever ...

I consistently feel compelled to mention, about cockhero-info, that I have received no virus or malware problems from it ever. It's a helpful site because (so it seems) most of the newest cock heroes appear there in streaming format rather quickly. The ransom-ware worries haven't cropped up for me. I control my virus risks pretty simply. I run with Windows Defender, and Malware Bytes Anti-Malware, and I scan often enough to feel sane about it, but otherwise I don't have any elaborate protocols in place that your average end-user couldn't also figure out in about four seconds of consideration. Nevertheless, so far there's been no threat that has gotten through any of my minimal defenses. I got more viruses from clan-sites of wargamers I met through Steam than from anywhere else. Of course, don't start allowing any website to have privileges on your computer. And always turn off Java! That's my advice: cockhero-info should not be a major worry, and I'm a bit surprised that it has gotten as much press-coverage here at Milovana as it does, since lots of other porn websites are (in my experience) MUCH more insidious for ransom-ware, unwanted downloads, or even just pop-up windows, than it is. But ...
But ... if you do fear the malware and you do feel you wouldn't be competent to defend against it, then, feel free to heed the advice of Tommyfilth and others, and avoid the cockhero-info website, since (obviously) he and those other people from Milovana also have your best interests in mind on this subject.
I hereby promise: if I do receive malware problems from cockhero-info, I'll definitely post at Milovana as soon as I'm able, and share all the info that I know about the infection. I go there regularly.

Yeah, that probably has something to do with it, because I tried to ignore the beat meter and found it difficult. The other day I was watching a video with subtitles that were off a little (like 5 seconds), and even though it was in English, I still find myself watching subtitles, so that really took away from my enjoyment.
book_guy wrote:I scan often enough to feel sane about it
Ahahaha
book_guy wrote:And always turn off Java!
YES. And keep it up to date. Don't slack on installing updates when they get pushed. Same goes for any OS updates; ideally, you should have your OS set to automatically install updates. Yeah, I know, it's a pain in the ass to reboot, but it's MUCH more of a pain in the ass to have to completely reinstall your OS, go through the roughly 300+ updates (and at least 6 reboots) required after a fresh install, and then install all your software and drivers again.
I mean, you can always create a system image and drop it onto a flash drive to avoid reinstall hell, but if you know how to do that, you probably already know to do everything else I mentioned.

Honestly, this is more or less what I intended in terms of my advice. I spent 7 years in a variety of IT support roles, before escaping that hell in favor of web development, and I tend to assume the average computer user has a beginner's level of knowledge, and offer advice from that standpoint. It might be a bit presumptuous, and certainly no arrogance is intended, but it's better to advise one to be over-cautious than for them to be under-cautious.
Obviously, if you know what you're doing, then you wouldn't need my advice anyway! :)

Where do you suggest I go? Is there another site for CockHero besides this one? Cockhero.info is the only way I hear of new CH videos since cockhero.bugs3.com went down.
We need to get a new Cockhero site up!

Honestly, I rely solely on this forum to inform me of new releases. I agree with you, we do need another, alternative resource. Maybe a wiki or a WordPress site which has invite-only mod privileges, so not just anybody can add or change entries? Something with less potential for abuse.
Alternatively, we could create a subReddit; might be risky, since I think Reddit is a little touchy about linking to Torrents, but don't quote me on that.
I think self-sufficiency is key, here. We have a solid community of people we know we can trust, because they themselves have poured countless hours into creating and promoting these things.
I wouldn't mind setting up a WordPress site, if we can drum up enough interest. I can't afford to spend any money on a domain at the moment, though, but I can set up a sub domain on one of my existing properties, and can set it to redirect later, as necessary. I can't take sole responsibility for keeping the content and links current though, I would need help with that part.
EDIT - If I did something like this, I'd like to state for the record that I
will not run ads or knowingly collect demographic data on it. If I have anything to do with this, it needs to be honest. I have no problem making money own my own properties, but the lion's share of the work has been the original producers of the source videos, and of course the talented editors of the CH community at large.

The few times in the past that milovana.com has gone dark for a few days, my thoughts always go this direction. I agree that having another way to index and discuss cock hero and similar videos is important. If you went ahead with this, it seems it'd be a good thing.
I think a subreddit would probably be the easiest for people to find and participate in, as long as it didn't break any reddit rules, as you pointed out. Second best would probably be the WordPress site you offered to create. But either way, I would hope it would be welcomed and used.

I don't see any reason why we couldn't do both, actually.
Use the Wordpress site for release info, as well as listing various torrent and stream sources. We'll have a short list of Milovana-approved contributors that can post updates, which will keep the spam to an absolute minimum. Quality control! We coulduse Disqus for comments, so anybody with five minutes and an email account can create an account and comment; obviously, there's some room for abuse, there, but we'll include a prominent disclaimer warning everyone to be careful with links in comments, and do the best we can with moderation.
As for the Reddit thing, that should be a supplement to the Wordpress site, in exactly the same way that the Wordpress site should act a supporting site for the Millovana CH community. A few reasons for this:
- We don't want to make Milovana irrelevant. I very much doubt that we COULD, but I view Milovana as the mothership, if you'll permit the metaphor. We want to keep her flying high.
- Reddit can be touchy. No doubt any Redditors here are already aware, there have been a string of bannings and subReddit closures recently; specifically, they have been cracking down on perceived hate groups. Personally, I take no real issue with that, either ideologically (fuck the haters), nor practically (Reddit is a for-profit site with a very clearly defined ToS; they have every right to dictate who uses their site and how).
But the point remains, subReddits can and have been banned for spam; the moderator to /r/bitingherlip was banned and their community closed because of either an inability to keep the sub properly moderated, or because they were using it as a vehicle for spam themselves. So if we use a subReddit, we can't be Milovana/Wordpress site specific, or we may find that sub shut down. So if we want to use that route, we need to offer people multiple links, and encourage people to share their own works independent of Milovana. And not everybody in the CH community is a Milovana user, so that's fine, but therein lies the rub: we walk a line between serving Milovana and disservicing it. How we choose to approach that is something we'd need to consider.
Plus, I have learned that once you create something popular, it stops being entirely yours, especially a community. It takes on a life of its own, per the whims of those who become involved.
Anyway, just some thoughts. I'd like to see what others think; maybe a separate thread is in order?

I'm glad I was able to start this discussion! It needs to happen!
Yes, a new thread is in order - I'm tempted to start one. I happen to work on front-end web, but I'm not a developer. I could help set up some things, but I can't maintain anything full time or be an admin either.
Who else is willing to help drive this discussion? Who has resources and knowledge to help make this happen?

I, too, am mostly a front end guy. I could, if push comes to shove, do SOME backend stuff, but my expertise is mostly in user experience and design elements. I can make a web site pretty, and I can make it fun to use, but I'm not much of a nuts and bolts kinda guy. I CAN program in jQuery, and a LITTLE PHP, but I really kinda hate it.
As I said before, I can host the site, but I can't currently afford to pay for anything right now (such as a WP template, which is unnecessary, there are plenty of free ones, or I could make a custom one, although that takes longer and does require me to do the PHP, but honestly, I need the practice anyway). We're going to need a domain name, which I can't afford until I can land a job. Catch-22 - when I have a job, I'll have less time to work on this.

Sounds like you and I are in the same boat. I challenge any CH fan with the means and resources to help support the requisite CH Infrastructure.
