Here's a technical problem. How do I store and organize my Cock Hero library most efficiently, if I want to be able to keep only ONE copy of any one given cock-hero-style video file, but I actually link to that file by means of two or more incoming and outgoing (seeding) torrents? If folder-hierarchies conflict, is there a way to fix this problem with some kind of automated torrent-manager-manager? Is there a torrent "library-ing" system of some sort, the way there is for your MP3 player, kind of?

What to do? Is there software that will re-point my torrent client? Can I fix it with shortcuts somehow (in Windows 8.1)? Or is this the grief that all torrenters undergo all the time?

If you know what I'm talking about, ignore the following example (in italics). It's a rather simple concept, but it's complicated to describe. Here's an example:

A. My old torrent "SEdgeBabesHD.torrent" contains:

top directory folder "SEdgeBabesHD", which contains three files:
- strokeredge_ver1.jpg
  StrokerEdge_BabesChallengeFinalHD.mp4
  pass_is_mokkori.txt

B. Meanwhile, another old torrent "StrokerEdge_BabesChallenge.torrent" contains only one file:

(no top directory folder)
- StrokerEdge_BabesChallengeFinalHD.mp4

The video file in each torrent is IDENTICAL. Therefore, in order to save storage space, I keep only ONE copy of the video file, and I manage the torrents and their storage-locations appropriately to make sure they both point to the proper file. Thus ...

A. "SEdgeBabesHD.torrent" points to:

My Encrypted Pron Drive
- Cock Hero
  - Stroker
    - Edge
      - Babes 1

... whereas meanwhile ...

B. "StrokerEdge_BabesChallenge.torrent" points to:

My Encrypted Pron Drive
- Cock Hero
  - Stroker
    - Edge
      - Babes 1
        SEdgeBabesHD

The point I'm making with the sub-directory listing, above, is (one which most experienced torrent users will understand) that the LATTER torrent must point to a folder which is identified and created in the FORMER torrent, whereas the FORMER torrent must point ONE LEVEL UP from that. The two torrents must "fix" one another's sub-folders so that both of them seek out the proper video FILE location. It's not complicated, just complicated to explain.

But! Wait! What happens if I get a torrent that has umpteen Cock Hero videos in it, and the following is part of it?

C. New Torrent "NewTorrent.torrent" contains:

top directory "Cock Hero Videos" which contains many sub-directories, including
- next directory folder "Babes One", which contains one file
  - StrokerEdge_BabesChallengeFinalHD.mp4

Now the FILE that I want must be in a FOLDER that screws up the other two torrents. I can have torrents A and B agree, or B and C, or C and A, but not all three.

To not get so much confused you can use two toplevel directorys, for example:
files/ where you put the real files (mp4 etc.) in
torrents/ where you create your links

When a new torrent-collection of CH videos is release you only have to look which file-structure the torrent is using and build it in your torrents/ directory by linking to the files in the files/ directory, then you add the torrent-collection and point it to your builded torrents/torrent-collection directory and you are good to go.

Thats no problem, you simply create two torrent directorys which point(with a hard or softlink) to the same file.
For example your file structure looks like this:
C:/files/ch/fluxdance/fluxdance3.mp4
C:/files/ch/fluxdance/fluxdancelogo.jpg
C:/files/ch/awesomex/temptaion4.mp4

now you have two torrents which have the fluxdance video file in it:
#1
C:/torrents/fluxdance-relase/fluxdance3.mp4 (linked to C:/files/ch/fluxdance/fluxdance3.mp4)
#2
C:/torrents/ch-collection/flux.mp4 (linked to C:/files/ch/fluxdance/fluxdance3.mp4)
C:/torrents/ch-collection/fluxlogo.jpg (linked to C:/files/ch/fluxdance/fluxdancelogo.jpg)
C:/torrents/ch-collection/temptaion.mp4 (linked to C:/files/ch/awesomex/temptaion4.mp4)

In this case you only store the fluxdance3.mp4 once on your disc, and dont waste double disk space.
Remeber in the C:/torrents/ directory are only links, hard or softlinks, whatever your torrentclient supports.
I think utorrent under windows only supports hardlinks.

OK, presuming I use soft-links (symbolic links) then, it's a very straightforward CONCEPT. It is horrendously difficult to MICRO-MANAGE, individual file by individual file (or so it seems) but the IDEA is pretty clear.

Basically, it can't be done by means of non-soft links, can it? Please consider this hypothetical, in which the torrents' inherent folder-structures CONFLICT. There's no way to do this without symbolic links, as far as I can tell.

I like the files Image 2.jpg and PornVideo2.avi, but I want to keep only a single copy of each of them to reduce storage and simplify moving them around and encrypting them. For example, I can store them like this :

With that folder structure, I can run both Torrent A and Torrent B at the same time ("cross-seed"), with A pointing to "My Encrypted Porn Drive" as the folder where it will save things, and B pointing to "Videos" as the folder where it will save things. Thus, I cross-seed Torrents A and B at the same time, keep only one copy of the image or video in question, and make the torrent client (Deluge, uTorrent, etc.) point to two different folder-sub-folder hierarchies that end up putting the files into the same location. Simple, IF the hierarchies in the torrents can be overlapped like that.

But it seems to me, that I can only run A and B concurrently, or re-structure the sub-directory hierarchy to run B and C concurrently. But I cannot run all three of Torrents A, B, and C concurrently. Not without doing something novel, of which I am as yet unaware. The folder structure in Torrent C will conflict EITHER with A OR with B, one way or another.

What would I need to do, to run all three Torrents concurrently while keeping only one copy of the file PornVideo2.avi?

Wouldn't it be great if there were an automated solution? Geez ... :(

Yes, to answer this hypothetical, you always need a RE-LINK process (either in the torrent-client or on the filesystem) to be able to cross-seed them when they have conflicting folder/file-structures, and you only want to have one real copy of them.

Thanks for your most recent corroboration, that re-linking will be necessary in SOME manner somewhere.

We need to program a cock-hero for re-linking by soft-links. Stroke if you want to save two copies, don't stroke if you want to save one copy with two torrents linked to it, edge if ...

One thing you can do that makes management easy is to create a storage directory that stores files named by their sha1 hash. Write a script that hashes files and checks the storage directory - if the file isn't there, it copies it. Then it creates a symlink or hardlink. Sorry for not giving more detail, but if this is beyond your capacity to figure out then you should look into a more "polished" solution anyway (or go the manual mklink route).

Edit: To address your concerns over differing directory structure, this only works on the files themselves; the directory structure shouldn't matter. Also, one thing to keep in mind is that it won't automatically handle two torrents getting linked together unless you fully download both of them. There is a solution to this, but it would have to be implemented in the torrent client and as far as I know this hasn't ever been done (and I have researched this extensively).
