Guideme - Metronome Stroking

For some time now I have been working with Guideme, learning how it works and exploring the new capabilities it provides. This is a tease I've written in the process. It seems simple enough on the surface, but I've found it to be quite enjoyable. It's highly configurable so you can adjust it to your liking.

The tease is intended for those times when you just want to play and do some stroking and edging. You are shown a slideshow of images and given a metronome to stroke to. At random intervals you are given the choice of quitting, or continuing. If you choose to continue, you must continue until the next time you're given a choice to quit. You are also randomly directed to do one or more edges.

Many elements of the tease are configurable through the Guide Preferences menu. For example, you can set the maximum number of edges to do in a row, the minimum time you have to stroke between edging sets, the maximum length of time you can go without being given a chance to quit, and more.

I have included 100 pictures in the slideshow to keep the download size down. You can add your own to the slideshow folder, or download the full set of almost 500 pictures I have in my slideshow folder (links below).

Have fun and and I look forward to any and all feedback.

I could not get this to work properly. It goes through the warmup and intro screens ok, but eventually the metronome audio just stops playing on around the 4th warmup screen and no new images are used. You are also never asked to edge. I'm running this on the lastest version of guideme. I set all the timers in preferences down as low as I could to test it out and it just never seemed to get past the warmups.

Frankendude, My apologies for not having gotten back here sooner. I discovered your post a few weeks ago and started looking into it but it's only been the last couple days I've had time to do the final testing and confirm that it's working properly.

Mostly I've determined that Guideme chokes on hi-res images. There were quite a few in the slideshow I included with the initial release. I ran into it occassionally in my testing, but since I had 3 times more images in my main slideshow folder it didn't hit me often enough to nail it down.

I have updated the link in the original post. Download again and you should get the new version. I have play tested it thoroughly and it all works perfectly here. You're welcome to send me a private message if there's any issues. At least I get email notification of those so I check on them more quickly.

Regards, and sorry for the inconvenience.
