Guideme - Metronome Stroking
Posted: Fri Nov 28, 2014 8:57 pm
For some time now I have been working with Guideme, learning how it works and exploring the new capabilities it provides. This is a tease I've written in the process. It seems simple enough on the surface, but I've found it to be quite enjoyable. It's highly configurable so you can adjust it to your liking.
The tease is intended for those times when you just want to play and do some stroking and edging. You are shown a slideshow of images and given a metronome to stroke to. At random intervals you are given the choice of quitting, or continuing. If you choose to continue, you must continue until the next time you're given a choice to quit. You are also randomly directed to do one or more edges.
Many elements of the tease are configurable through the Guide Preferences menu. For example, you can set the maximum number of edges to do in a row, the minimum time you have to stroke between edging sets, the maximum length of time you can go without being given a chance to quit, and more.
I have included 100 pictures in the slideshow to keep the download size down. You can add your own to the slideshow folder, or download the full set of almost 500 pictures I have in my slideshow folder (links below).
Have fun and and I look forward to any and all feedback.
