Erotic ASMR experiment

So I just recently discovered ASMR.
"Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a neologism for a perceptual phenomenon characterized as a distinct, pleasurable tingling sensation in the head, scalp, back, or peripheral regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, or cognitive stimuli."
I don't actually know if ASMR effect is real or imaginary. As a scientific experiment, I want you to listen to some of these ASMR clips and tell me what you feel. Don't read about what other people feel and then parrot that. Don't tell me what you think I want to hear. Just tell me what you felt even if that is "nothing", "bored", "gave me a headache", etc.
It was actually Haggard316 post on the youtube game that got me started, so I'll post his first.

It may not be ASMR-y, but some of the erotic hypnosis/guided fantasy files I've encountered have dropped surprise whispers from the artist coming in from behind/around you as the scenario unfolds. That's always been highly erotic in and of itself, but not sure how much if any of the response is ASMR versus just being hot. :)

It's not something I find erotica or something that I can trigger on demand so those videos had very little affect on me. However I do experience ASMR on occasions such as when I here a pencil scratching, boxes being opened and cellophane being ripped off. I have to say I thought it was just something weird I experienced before you posted this.

So far I'm getting the impression that either the asmr effect is very rare or it's not really an effect, but maybe some sort of association, or fetish. Whatever the reason, the sounds really turned me on. I know most people in ASMR talk about it being relaxing. Listening to asmr to go to sleep and so on. I didn't find that. I found the longer I listened, the hornier I got. The first time I just let myself go and got so hot that actually had a hand's free orgasm (hand's free orgasms are surprising easy for me though and take very little effort). Curious what the effect was on others and so far it would seem reactions are not that strong. So I'm 'special'? yay?

Well, the videos you suggested didn't do anything for me. The woman reading Alice has a couple of distracting attributes.
However, when I experience prolonged sexual arousal and stimulation with orgasm denial, I experience "a distinct, pleasurable tingling sensation in the head, scalp, back, or peripheral regions of the body."
When I reach this state (beyond blue balls), the tingling begins at the side of the scalp and spreads farther down the side (either side, but only one at a time) each time. I achieve this state with several long periods of arousal/denial in a day. Much more common when I was younger (now 64.)
Anyone else get like this?
Thanks for posting.

micheleFFS,
Oh wow, I had not heard of anyone having that experience before. So I guess you get a 'brain orgasm' (how some people describe ASMR) by repeatedly preventing your body from having a normal orgasm

Just a note that I've never any great success with this before, there was one video (sorry I don't recall which) that did seem to have a minor effect (ears felt a little hot and tingly) but that's it.
1st video - Honestly I only listened for 4 minutes, the quality is poor and its clearly not something she does regularly.
2nd video - Better than the first in terms of sound quality, I do like the closeup noises for each ear but this seemed to just be the same thing over and over which quickly got on my nerves. Perhaps I need to try it at a lower volume.
3rd video - Same as 2nd one but not ear to ear, I don't particularly enjoy listening ot someone chem gum...
4th video - Seen a few of her videos before, Lilium has a great voice and slow relaxing style but there's no noticable effect. Still unlike the first 3 videos I was able to listen to the end.
5th video - Not much more to say at this point, the quality seems good but nothing in the video triggers anything in me.

DannyP,
I sounds like you just don't have the response. I'm not really that fond of my ASMR anyways. It was fun at first because I like new experiences and to experiment, but now I would just say it's tingling and a buzz in my head that happens sometimes. It's not relaxing or even that pleasant, although it can make me feel like I'm going into a trance and can make me feel strangely aroused (I think the arousal part may just be me associating whispers with intimacy while kind of trancing out, which leads to arousal). These can be good things when you want them, but not so good when I'm actually trying to focus on something else.
