Suggested feature for teaases

What would you say to adding a 'Estimated duration' to some if not all teases?

I know personally I don't get as much time to browse teases as I used to and sometimes I want a quick tease, other times I have an hour or more.

I think it'd be nice to know going into a tease 'Right, I have about 30 mins, will I get to the end of this one...'

Anyone else?

Not a bad idea. I like it. Maybe, at the very least, a "number of pages" in the description?

Without an official feature for this, authors can help by putting a time estimate in the description. At least, that's what I try to do.

it could be optional too, so if you like the mystery and suspense, leave it off, but have the option to put it on if you like.

authors/mods, can it be done?

Do I understand correctly you want a feature which automatically computes an estimated play time for web/flash teases?

For web teases there must be first an extra option for the author to set a time for each page. Otherwise a program wouldn't know how long the player should stay on that page. Then what's with pages with introduction like "do 50 strokes", "do 100 of this", "do x of that". How do you measure time here?

For flash teases it gets even more difficult. The advantage of course is that there are timers. That's easy to add up. But also there are many pages with buttons. How long does someone stay on such kind of pages? What is with different paths in teases? Worst case scenario: Teases with loops! Infinite play time!

Sorry, but I don't think that this kind of feature (with high accuracy) is possible.

I'm not saying it has to be to the second, even something as rough as

<30 mins
30-60
60+

etc etc

I imagine more of a variable field that the tease author can optionally choose to fill in prior to publishing the tease, which specifies the estimated duration of the tease (in the author's opinion).

Like I said before, authors can already provide estimated durations in their tease descriptions, but prompting them to do so, via an optional field, might increase the number of authors who actually do. Just a thought.
