I also want to propose a hardcore version. Write down the date you started the challenge and check back every day. If the difference between today and the date written down is smaller than the amount of notes, you are still denied. As the amount of notes will grow for a while it is impossible to tell how long you will be in denial, because every moment a new note can be added and your suffering prolonged for another day.
