So I was merrily searching tumblr earlier and came across a video that I simply had to share. The basic premise is that this guy got together a bunch of his friends and filmed them slapping each other.....
Yes I know how absolutely insane that sounds. But my question to the lovely people of Milovana is would you do this? I know we have plenty of people here who like pain and who are into all sorts of different things.
So watch the video..... And tell me your thoughts

When I first watched this I thought it was kind of weird, I don't know why, and not in a bad way. I guess face slapping is something I have always considered as an admonishment. And to see people doing it in a friendly and relaxed situation was odd. I totally get the reactions though, there seemed to be a cathartic release for a lot of them in doing something that is socially unacceptable in most situations.

I would very much like to do this, if it was off-camera.
Preferably partnered up with a female. (slapping guys is much less illegal for some reason ;) )
If I did it however, It should be serious.
I'd slap her hard, and I expect of her to do the same to me.
From the video, I also get the impression that the girls slap harder on the guys than the other way around.

Indeed, Banquo.
You are for once allowed to do something that can't normally be done, in a fully consensual way.
There's no need to feel guilty, since they can slap you right back.
I would feel quite comfortable being slapped but not so comfortable slapping someone....
However here's 1 for you:

I was struck at how gleeful some of the participants were immediately after slapping someone, and a few after being slapped. There was a certain liberation from social norms. However, that made it even more interesting to see what social norms they continued to display, including gender roles, status roles, and even based on size. Humans are innately social and it is very difficult for us filter out our cues, behaviors, and biases. A lot of this relates to the Milovana experiment and community with exploration of gender, dominance, submission, etc. And, it shows why so many are so gleeful about being able to be liberated from typical social norms, even if online and somewhat anonymously.

Ok...now this was interesting I have to say. Didn't know what to expect from this, but after reading the intro I didn't think I would watch the video. Slapping in the face of someone else is something you just don't do normally.
But I was intrigued so I started watching...and kept watching till the end. I have to say I actually enjoyed watching the video because of one simple fact it: These people had a LOT of fun doing this and they show it.
There was nothing mean about these slaps (even though some were quite rough).
