The suggestion feature, help us test it!

Hey folks,

we've implemented the new suggestion feature, but in my own tests it seemed to give me those teases that I liked least.

Now I want to know, do you have more luck?

Please try it out and let me know if the results were acceptable. :-)

Thanks for the help!

Cheers,

Seraph0x ;-)

PS: And don't worry if the results aren't great, these kinds of features need a lot of fine-tuning and we're going to work on it as long as it takes to make it give decent results.

I've got two theories. Either I just made a mistake implementing the algorithm or it simply has a strong bias for low rated teases, like it's trying to find real underdog tips.

Let's hear from some other people and then I'll start digging a little bit deeper. :-)

My results were the same as everyone else's.

Yeah, it's not catering to my interests, either.

It looks like it's choosing from those teases that one hasn't rated. So, since I've at least looked through pretty much every tease on the site, but only went to the end of those I liked (so those were the only ones I voted on), it'll only choose from ones I don't like.

If someone has an account that has only voted on say, the newest third of teases, I'd bet the tool would be half-decent at finding older ones they'd like.

The tags look somewhat consistent with what I like, but only somewhat.

I have also tried the
'new' searches with mixed success

First it did not keep my preference, the permanent book mark
isn't er, permanent, although it did ‘stick’ for a few teases

I was looking under: Chastity
Got chastity teases 4, 5, and six (but not the first three)

I am still hoping you can add more tease tags than the standard ones
(still hoping for a flashtease tag)

Thank you for all your work
I appreciate it.

I got all foreign language teases  Maybe that code knows that I am not English  Damn I am scared now sounds like an Artificial Intelligence :-O

But seriously that idea is not bad. I think you take the tags of the rated teases and compare the favorite tags with the tags of the other unrated teases. That's quite brilliant  If it works :innocent:

Oh that's actually not what it's doing. Maybe we'll add that in a later date. What it's doing right now (hmm, more like what it should be doing  ), is asking: "What teases did other users like who usually like the same things that this guy likes."

Obviously I made some kind of error in the math and it's gonna be a b**** to track down, so hang in there. :-D

 I think you misunderstood the permanent bookmark feature. It's not meant to lock the filter or anything, it's just a link that you can write down, post somewhere or save as a bookmark and when you call it up again, it'll load the same filter settings as before. :-)

Of course, it's not your fault if a feature is ambiguous/not explained very well. I'm already thinking about ways to improve the new interface to make it more intuitive.

Attention, attention: The suggestion feature has been fixed (there was an actual error in the algorithm) and now gives much, much better results.

Please try it out and let me know what you think. :-)

I only noticed you updated it, but currently it's not working at all for me - just brings up a list of all webteases.

It was working for me ..... pulled up a bunch of teases I had in favorites as well as a bunch I had not voted on. I got a better selection when I clicked on the "20" per page button. I ended up clicking on a few and added them to my faves so that I don't forget about them and will try them when I get a chance.

Cool feature ........ thanks!

I've tried this one on a few occasions now and I quite like it. Two problems though:

1. I keep forgetting where it is, so a link to it from somewhere more obvious then this thread would be nice. :-D

2. It seems like teases I've already done and rated comes back after a while, also no obvious way to get flash teases off the list. Maybe it should be available in two versions, one showing all teases at all time and one that hides those you have rated or selected "hide from this list" on?

Thanks Foxhawke for your suggestions. I agree with all of them. At the moment however, we simply don't have the money to feature this function more prominently. (It takes up significant server resources.)

I've been rating teases...and will be trying out this feature now!
