2014 Tease Writing Challenge FAQ/Medal Progress

Welcome to the 2014 Tease Writing Challenge!
What is this all about, you ask? In the spirit of older community projects like "slavechylde recommends...", we wanted to create something that would engage current and future tease authors while inspiring the continued creation of new teases.
Each month, we'll be looking at every tease published. We'll then create a list of recommendations that we'll post in a monthly TWC Choice Award thread. If your tease gets recommended, then it has the chance to unlock one of the following hidden medals.

These medals represent several different elements, such as specific story, instruction or design choices. If your tease is recommended, and is the first to contain one of those elements, then you unlock that medal and claim it for yourself!
At the end of the year (or when all the medals have been found, whichever comes first) we tally up the points everyone has earned as follows:
TWC Recommendation - 1 Point
Every tease you write that gets showcased in our monthly thread is worth 1 point.
Medals - 3 Points
Every medal you unlock is worth 3 points. Once a medal has been found, it's awarded to whoever unlocked it and can't be claimed by anyone else. If more than one writer unlocks the same medal in the same month, it will be awarded to each of them.
At the end of the contest, whoever has the most points will win a personalized badge proclaiming them the winner of the 2014 Tease Writing Challenge. If you win, feel free to paste the badge in your sig and the everyone know your accomplishment! (We also encourage writers to show off any ribbons/medals they've won in their sig as the challenge goes on, you've earned them!)
In case of a tie, each person will be awarded a personalized badge.

Who's running the 2014 Tease Writing Challenge?
1885 and Incubo.
How many teases per author are eligible each month?
As many as you write!
What kind of teases are eligible?
Classic and Flash (as well as EOS, should it be released during the course of the challenge). Cock Hero and and TeaseMe/GuideMe-only teases are not eligible. A good rule of thumb is, if the entire tease is playable by clicking on its link in the Webtease section, then it's eligible.
Why not Cock Hero or TeaseMe?
Those formats have no shortage of fans, but with this challenge we simply want to focus on those creations that originate on the site itself.
How do you decide which teases to recommend?
We try our best to put our own subjective tastes aside and focus on certain attributes we're looking for in a tease. Not every tease needs to have them all, but each tease we choose will have some. We do not wish to explicitly state what we're looking for, because that would spoil some of the fun involved in discovering all the different medals. However, we can say that ratings, specific fetishes or an author's previous contributions have no bearing on which teases are chosen.
If your tease is not chosen, it does not mean that we didn't enjoy it or that it was "bad", so don't be discouraged. Our established guidelines cover many areas, so keep writing and trying new things to see if yours is chosen next time.
Are you going to recommend your own teases?
No, teases written by TWC founders are not eligible for the challenge and will not be showcased.
Why do you post the TWC threads in the middle of the month?
So as not to compete with TOTM, even in the event of a tie.
Do I have to do anything special to participate?
Nope, just write teases! We look at every tease that gets published.
I don't want my teases to be considered or showcased during this challenge, how do I opt out?
