screeen view in Windows8.1

Well Santa brought me a new computer with Win 8.1 which is pretty novel for me.
One of the things I'm struggling with is that the Milovana web-page ( and some others)
only displays on about two thirds of the page in a central position both on firefox and IE.
Is there a fix for this or is that how it is?
Thanks ,
Chico

There's probably a fix for it, because my Windows 8.1 doesn't operate like that.
EDIT: Just realized... you're probably launching the "Metro" verion of those browswers from the "tile" interface. (basically Windows tablet editions of the browsers)
Try this: Go to the Desktop... the more familiar Windows desktop interface and run the 'proper' desktop version of the browsers. It should behave far more like you're accustomed.

thanks but I've already used the desktop to download both firefox and chrome the old fashioned way and they're both showing the same problem
I've updated both the monitor driver and the radeon display driver and still same problem.
I've got the flat screen TV set on HDMI in put showing screen size 1680 x 1050
bit of a headscratcher

if you're using a tv screen, it might simply be that the screen is to big for the page

I had a similar problem with my computer back along where it wouldn't load fully. It turned out to be a corrupted user profile, Try creating a new user on your computer to see if that fixes it.
If it does then you will need to copy your existing files to the new profile:

ok, got it sorted - just a display problem.
Win 8.1
control panel
appearance and resolution
Adjust screen resolution
Make text and other items larger or smaller
Change size from 100% to 150%
...and bob's your uncle
thanks to all those who replied
