Personally I am just glad it is back up. As for the why: I think constantly questioning why it took so long to fix problem X does not solve anything. It was fixed as soon as it could have been I sm sure. People have lives outside of this website and it is important to remember that Milo is something wonderful but that those who run and fix it have lives and reposibilities that come first.

But that is just my opinion,
Della

I'd like to say 'Thank you!' to the staff of Milovana as well. I know it must be a lot of work to keep this site running and in good working order. Know that your efforts are appreciated!

Why was the site down?

Why do starlings flock together like shoals of fish? Why do the Pyramids of Giza line up with the stars on Orion's belt? And why is it that toast always lands buttered side up?

The important thing is that the site endures and has returned. As was said by Freaky Geek on Fetlife, if the site had been lost, just think of all the creativity that could have been lost. That would have been a disaster. I agree with Miss Della that we owe the people who make this site possibly our intense gratitude.

But, at the very same time this site would not exist without the contributions of the hundreds of tease authors and game runners. And if Seraph0x is struggling to keep up with the day to day running of this marvelous site, then I am sure there will be plenty of volunteers who would be pleased to lend a hand.

In the mean time lets all remain thankful for what we have here and hope that the next downtime is far enough into the future that it won't be a problem.

On a side note it might be worth people who make frequent use of the site joining the Milovana group on Fetlife, that way if the site does happen to go off line then there is a point of contact for people taking part in forum games etc.

I doubt anyone is criticizing the staff. It always sounds like it is more about concern and curiosity rather than Milo staff breaking an imaginary SLA.

Chalk it up to your drug dealer not being available to meet you for your fix. You just want to make sure everything is ok now that you've scored again. :-P

It was some sort of issue at our hosting company. I put in a ticket and they fixed it.

Wish I could tell you something more exciting, something involving dimly lit rooms, suitcases of cash and hackers who have never seen the daylight! "... The dragon spew fire one more time before I sunk the sword deep into its heart and so the site is back online now."

:-P

Don't forget the cigarette smoking man lurking in the shadows.

When the site was down I really noticed how attached to it I was. I felt a hole within myself when I couldn't come and see what's happening and so on...

Thanks to Milovana personnel(le)s for bringing it back up
