Hey Milovanians,
In case you're wondering what
Nyx even is: It's the FlashTease editor that is currently in public preview. If you haven't tried it yet, you can find more information
here.
Yesterday I started receiving reports that Nyx was overwriting teases with the script to submatt's "The Twelve Days of Mistress" for no apparent reason. We had to react by taking the editor offline for the time being. We couldn't find the exact cause yet, so instead I rewrote the parts that could've caused it from scratch just to be sure. The editor is now
back online. The affected teases are locked for the time being. (They can still be viewed normally, but they don't appear in the editor.)
Let me emphasize again:
We are working to make the rest of the teases editable again, so stay tuned. Generally, as long as Nyx is still in beta I recommend you make your own backup copies if you put a lot of effort into a script.
Cheers,
Seraph0x

What do you mean by they won't appear in the editor? Because Mistress Lizzy I isn't even in the editor to open up (that is, she isn't in my list of teases there), while on the other hand I can see the two teases I've been working on (they can be selected and opened up, except they result in their own errors). Same goes for if you try to make a new one, it gives me the same errors as my other two teases I can open.
By the way, that is an awesome logo you've made for the editor! Very nice.

By that I mean...

That's exactly what I mean.

Can't help you unless you tell me what those errors are?

Thanks.

And if anybody is wondering why there is a bird in the logo: I'm a huge fan of the Greek creation myth, in particular
this version. In it, Nyx gives birth to Eros, the god of love, which I thought was kind of fitting.

Well I had typed out the whole bug, but then I took it. Didn't want to look stupid if by "not appearing in the editor but still being able to view it" was actually the bug happening to me, hehe. Basically, the visual and script editors don't show the tease and instead display nothing, whereas the preview shows the full tease I've made so far fully functioning. I have backups of my scripts so it's not too big a problem for me.
So here goes the long version.

After I loaded the tease, which happened really fast for what I am used to since it was getting to be a longer tease, I saw that the visual editor and script editor were blank. I clicked preview, the editor paused for a second, and then correctly displayed all the pages, buttons, and text that should have appeared in the visual and script editors. So I went back to the visual editor, tried typing something in and clicked save, and it gave me an error and suggested I make a backup in case any data was lost. I clicked okay and tried the same thing in the script editor, which now displayed the blank page I just added, and got the same error. Figuring it couldn't save, I click the okay button, and again chose to open Mistress Jezebelle, and saw she still has the one blank page I saved that returned the error in both the visual and script editor. When I clicked preview it still showed the old script and old pages. I try reloading the whole editor and it resets back to blank pages with the preview still showing the whole tease. My cache is cleared and all that.
Also, whenever you make a new tease, it is created. But after it's made, it gets the same errors as above. Also, you are unable to delete it. I am not sure if my already-made teases are undeletable as well and didn't want to try, of course!
