FlashTease Editor Questions from a complete noob

I'm trying to teach myself the flash tease editor and am looking for a few posts from the experienced users on the best way to get started.
I've been able to open it, create a tease, upload images, create pages with images, text and delays / buttons, but I'm struggling to get the editor to preview the results. I've tried saving, changing the page names, I'm sure it's something stupid.
Any suggestions. I have tried reading some of the posts under the editor but I've only worked my way part way through. Is there a post with a guide or basic instructions?
I am fond of the flash teases with the metronome at different speeds, how is this incorporated? Different MP3 files?
Sorry for all the questions, I am more interested in the flash teases than the traditional ones.

I would have posted this in the thread under the editor, but I was afraid it might get missed by some of the knowledgeable folks. Feel free to move it, if it shouldn't go here.

What happens when you choose to preview it? Does it just give you a blank screen? My guess is that you renamed the first page (originally "start#") to something different. When you click preview, the top field where it says start is the page where it's starting the preview from. Change that to whatever your first page is and click goto or restart the preview mode to start it from there.

When you click Preview, it has to know which page to start the preview from. At the top of it, it should say start in a box. Change that to whatever your first page is to start the preview from there.
Initially I did change it. All I get is a blank page. I tried going back to start and I tried setting new page names resaving and using that in the box, all I ever got was a blank page. I pulled out the little tab and it seems to error every time when looking for the first page.
(Thanks for your reply.)
Any other suggestions?

Did you type in something like page1# instead of just page1 like you're supposed to? Or could you copy and paste all the information in the debug window...

The Nyx is still in it's infancy, and it's a little flaky. Don't blame yourself.
The Nyx tends to remember the first thing you do, even after you change it. But what might help is to delete your computer's Temporary Internet Files (also called clearing the cache). After that, when you go to Nyx, it will reload the editor and reload your tease and it hopefully will look right.

Makes sense I had deleted a previous attempt and it still showed. I'll clear cache and try again. It may also be my browser, I use opera.
(Thanks for the responses, I'll let you know if it worked.)

Ok clearing my cache and relogging in solved the problem, thanks so much.
Any thoughts on my other questions?:
o Is there a post with a guide or basic instructions?
o I am fond of the flash teases with the metronome at different speeds, how is this incorporated? Different MP3 files?
Thanks again,
LNS
good luck

Well, no, there is no instruction manual yet. The closest is this thread:

I understand you can find a metronome mp3 and insert it manually into the script portion. Two warnings. First, it will make your tease unreadable for some (like me), as it's just too much for some systems.
Second, if you do choose to change the script manually, make sure you only save while in script mode. If you save while in the visual editor, it will undo what you've done.

Thanks, as I suspected on the guide.
On the metronome if someone who has created some with sounds, if you wouldn't mind sharing a few details that would be great.
Your second point is a huge one, I wondered why I kept losing my changes.
Thanks again,
