I recently bought a We-Vibe 3 from a 3rd party online vendor, and some paranoia in the back of my head keeps ticking about the remote possibility that I may have received one that's previously a return by someone else. I know there are regulations against accepting returned sex toys, but having laws in place has not exactly stopped folks from committing illegal acts. Perhaps some of you that bought this item from other vendors can pick your memory about your particular package to see if what I have observed so far is the norm.
The oval box showed one circular seal at one end of the lid, the seal appeared unbroken but it's easily removed intact, and can as easily be re-applied if needed to. There was no second seal on the other end of oval lid. Inside the box the "O" shaped paper on top of the case (that fits over the charger) was loose and off the case, but that could have been due to the item rolling around during shipping. The thing that bugs me the most is the power cord for the charger. It appears neat but it's in no way similar to what I expected from an electrical item fresh out of factory, UNLESS We-Vibe coil their power cords by hands. It looks like someone did a very good job by hand wrapping and coiling the power cord, but it's obviously not done by a machine.
It probably would not have bothered me much if I could just dump the item into boiling water to sterilize it, but here lies the problem with these mechanical items.

Let me brag a little here...
Frankly: i don't see what the all the fuzz is about. I got my CB3k second hand, the seller, too, claimed it was not used, but that served nothing more than to annoy me a bit. It WAS used, but so what? It's not like any std's could surrvive a mail delivery (no quite so), fast as it is. Plus it should be an automated habbit to thorowghly (?) clean any sex toys used before AND after use.
So what it really comes down to is that psychological thing of imagining that other guy/girl using it... Just my two cents.
On the topic: look for minor abbrasions, scratches and missalignments. Even the cheapest stuff, when new, should look like new, smooth, uniform and well faced.
