Questions/Advice on Cock Hero creation

Discovered this whole Cock Hero phenomenon a few days ago (and I thought I had seen everything) and actually spent all day yesterday NOT fapping, but learning the process of creating one. Here is where I'm at so far:

1. I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro after Cyberlink PowerDirector decided to randomly crash and NOT save the data I had been working on. Anyway, I feel like I'm starting over again with learning the software and will probably spend some time with training videos/podcasts to get the basics down. I assume this is the software that the "pro" Cock Heroes use?

2. Fruity Loops for beat creation/modification thanks to a certain member here always recommending it over hammerhead. ;) Feel relatively comfortable with it so far.

3. Audacity for matching the beats with songs. Seems okay, though I sometimes find that some beats become ever so slightly out of sync with the beats in the song. I need to learn how to better do this. I'm also working under the assumption that the beats in the song have to always match the beats you create, naturally with the exception of the dick destroying beats.

4. Songs. I know very little when it comes to choosing the appropriate songs. I'm familiar with a little bit of dubstep stuff like Nero and Skrillex, but that's it. What genres of music work best for Cock Hero videos? How important is it to match the theme of the song with the theme of the video? What about matching the beats to what is happening in the video? Am I okay with scouring Spotify for candidates?

My goal is to create a video using many of the same ideas in the Flux videos, namely:

a) Colored text, pink: bad, yellow: good. Considering using text to audio to eliminate reading and (likely) make the process easier.
b) Stroke/beat meter
c) 30 second break (60 seems way too long). Probably will be just static images of the girl coming up with some text about her.
d) The philosophy of making you "lose" as its central focus.

As for the theme of my videos, I've been considering the following:

a) Japanese Adult Video. Caveat: censorship
b) Japanese Gravure/Idols. Caveat: softcore/no-nudity
c) Modeling Videos. Caveat: no-nudity/non-HD
d) Lesbian.

I'm mainly just looking for advice on getting started with this. I've already created a few "test runs" in the Cyberlink software and finished everything besides the video presentation parts and stroke/beat meter. They actually turned out okay, but I'm not satisfied with merely "okay", so it's back to the drawing board. :weep: Anyway, I'll probably be back with more questions. :-D

I'm no expert at creation or anything, but I've been following the CH trend for over a year now and after everything that's come out, I feel the best advice is just do whatever you feel comfortable with and don't worry about the crowd reaction. There will be people who complain no matter what you do, so just make yourself happy with your work. Odds are there are more people who will enjoy it anyways. These are just my thoughts about what makes a good tease video.

As far as music goes, don't worry about what kind of music you use, your main focus should be on choosing your scenes and editing them to create a 'unified' feel. The music should jive with the pacing of your cuts and transitions, as well as the action onscreen. Good examples of this are, of course, Vindicare's Flux Dance project, and IMO, the Stroker Ace series (not really including the recent Babes edition, for obvious reasons.) When you're watching those, pay attention to how they match the cuts to transitions and scene pacing to the music playing. Very rarely are you left watching very slow motion/low intensity action with an intense, fast beat. On top of that, they use cuts in time with the music to tie the two senses together and draw you into the video. If you do that well, it doesn't matter so much as to the music you use.

Remember your tools for the tease are primarily visual and auditory stimulation, the beat meter is secondary. You want to arouse the viewer so that they can use the beat meter to the greatest effect. The pink/yellow text is a great example of this, as it allows you stimulate the viewer's imagination as well. Yes the beat meter is important, but only as part of the whole. Does it sync well with the music? Does it fit the pacing of the action on screen? Is it too visually/musically distracting? Personally, I think the first two CH-Hardcores had my favorite iterations of the beat meter, so consider noting how it's used there.

To that end, have a plan for your product. Know how you want it to progress in difficulty and pacing and choose your scenes and music to match. I don't know about others, but I find that scenes where you can tell the ladies are really enjoying themselves are much more engaging than typical porn. (You know, the droning "'oooh yeah fuck me yea *teeth hiss* yeah' repeat ad nauseum." kinda porn...ew. No thanks.) The more I can believe they're enjoying it, the more I'm enjoying it. The more I'm enjoying it, the more difficult the beat meter should be to try to push me over the edge. Again, check your pacing here though. "Difficult" shouldn't always mean "fast and complicated". That's just me though, play to your tastes and ideas.

I'm currently just starting down the road of video editing myself, and these are the things I'm keeping in mind as I work. I don't know if they'll help you at all, but I felt a little shared guiding philosophy might be a good thing to talk about. Still, the most important thing is just have fun with it. Nobody's paying you, there are no deadlines, and most importantly, it's something you enjoy.

a non-nude or entirely lesbian/softcore video would be an interesting addition.

Lots of very helpful advice twl1, especially about catering it more to my tastes rather than trying to satisfy everyone and not having any fun.

I spent all day today creating a rough copy of something I'm kind of proud of. I still need to do the beat meter, add in various text, and give it some overall polish, but I'd appreciate anyone's feedback on it. Here's the file (it has a low bit-rate to keep size low):

A big +1 to twl1, lots of truth in there imo. :) Just make it for yourself and if others enjoy it too that's great!

And about adding JAV to it, I am definitely adding some to my own Cock Hero, and the mosaic censoring I feel might just add to the tease feeling, and I love being teased, so I don't really see it as a negative.

Good luck and thanks for taking your time to do one of these!

@ameri - I really see censoring the same way too. I would much rather look at the girl's face and body over extreme shots of her pussy. Really don't care that much, but I know some people do and that's fine. Definitely considering JAV now though. There's so much good stuff out there that no one sees.

I touched up on my first "test" scene dubbed Cock Hero Pirate.

Features:

A unified theme: pirates!
Proper transitions from one scene to the next in sync with the song/beats
Progressive arousal: clothed -> nude -> action
Beat/Stroke Meter at bottom
Pink/White text at top

I kind of like using the black bars because it allows me to fill in that space with text and a beat meter while also allowing me to work with HD and non-HD videos.

All and all this was a good first test run to really see if I could actually do it and wanted to continue doing it. I think I answered both of those questions with a yes, so now I intend on going back and taking my time. I still need to learn some management techniques as this project was super messy (I've got files everywhere, both on my PC and in the software), but not bad at all overall.
