How hard do you all think it would be to be able to set up and make money from my own T&D/fetish website? It's such a huge market, and the internet makes advertising easy, that I can't imagine it being too much of a challenge. Plus the chance to star in my own films that specialize in my own fetishes would be heaven.
So, seriously thinking about it, how much of an endeavour would you think it will be.

It would probably take either several years to build up a membership base, much like indecisive did with indecisivecaptions or unique content that brings members, like milovana has.

I certainly wouldn't suggest putting all your eggs into that basket. Start it off as a hobby, and see how it goes. Web hosting isn't terribly expensive if you don't expect too many visitors, and I'm sure that a camera and basic filming equipment wouldn't be too much of an investment, so there is very little to loose if you have a little extra cash lying around.

I suppose the hardest part would be finding at least one Female interested in taking part, especially one that isn't so set on making money from it.

I feel like T/D is a pretty small niche of the total porn market, plus it isn't very well known. On the other hand, if you're willing to open up the scope of your project a little bit, I can think of a few examples of how not to do things (e.g., Humiliatrix - they have what, one update a year?) and a different but apparently successful business model (pay per download, e.g., barefootprincess/taylorsteases.com).

It's hard. I started The Submissive Challenge several months ago. I am three months, 20,000+ unique visitors, and a 20 variations on my website later, and I'm still a long way from making it.

Remember there is a LOT of content out there.

It sounds like you're going to be selling original clips on line, right?

If I were you I'd start really simple and sell it via clips4sale.com. That way, your web costs are mostly covered by the sales. You still need a web site of our own with your own domain that will act as a welcome page, and an about us page. I recommend a blog with comments that you approve before they are displayed. Definitely get your own domain name, though.

Also, I'd send emails out to various people in the biz, especially ones that don't compete with you. There's a thread on model costs here. I'd ask the sybianrides4cash.com guy, and Yaqi from Yaqisworld.com for advice... not that I know them, it just seems, from a distance, that they are the most likely willing and able to give good advice.
