What to do with ex-girlfriends lingerie?

If any ladies read this I would appreciate a response if you have an idea on what I should do.
I broke up with my girlfriend recently due to her moving overseas indefinitely for an amazing job. She was going to be there for at least a few years unless something terrible happened so decided it was for the best.
Aside from the emotional issue I have a bunch of lingerie I bought for her for Valentines day that I was able to get around Christmas time from a boutique run by my cousins friend. I was able to get an amazing deal so I bought a lot. Now what do you think I should do with all of this lingerie?
I was thinking my options would be save them for a future girlfriend. I've read that some women get offended when receiving a gift not originally meant for them so I don't know about that. Next would be to sell it online which I'm not all too comfortable with. Finally a friend told me I could donate it to a women's shelter. I thought it might be inappropriate plus I really don't want to take a loss on it. As great of a deal as I got I spent a fair bit and I'm sure a women's shelter could use a donation a lot more then seductive lingerie.
Let me hear your ideas

Best thing to do is to send it to your ex. Also noone in a shelter needs sexy clothing. lastly I dont see why you wouldnt want to sell the items, I mean it is now a ex so it shouldnt matter much. Sounds like you are still very attached to this person, if thats the case put the items away for awhile until you fell better about the situation then decide what to do. Good luck

Thank you for all of your replies.
I mentioned my dilemma to a friend at a Starbucks patio. As luck would have it the patron at the neighboring table overheard me. She's a photographer who apparently does a lot of Boudoir sessions and some of the the girls have been asking for more outfits. I emailed info and images for all the pieces and was willing to pay what I paid for them minus tax since she said it was a really good price.
Well that's one minor problem solved. A bunch of major ones to conquer now. sigh

May i ask why you didn't go with her overseas?
If it was just a fling or not so strong a love...i understand. But finding true love is not evident, ergo to let it slip away might be something the two of you might regret in time.
In case you and her have any second thoughts...it's not too late. Hope you realise you are at one of the crossroads in your life.

We do love each other but it was a career choice. My ex will be working in Asia and she is able to speak some Madarin/Japanese. For my field it would be very difficult to get any gainful employment without being fluent. So you say we did what was best for our careers but if in the future if we're able to move to a place where we can be together would. That is if one of us hasn't moved on to a new relationship. Hopefully in a few years things will work out. In the meantime we're still friends and keep in touch.

why don't you send it to her? It's a gift for her, so it's hers basically.
If you seriously consider being together again - keep it. When you reunite you'll give it to her. To avoid trouble with another girlfriends just pack it neatly in a box and seal with tape. Worst comes to worst you can explain that you just packed it and forgot about it.
I don't think you really should give it to another girlfriend. For one thing, I wouldn't be all that comfortable of wearing underwear that was worn by someone else. Of course it's different from person to person. Actually, if you feel like hiding part of the truth, you may take the lingerie to a good laundry service, clean it throughly, pack it up neatly and pose it as a brand new present. One thing at a time, of course.
I think donating it would be the worst thing that could be done. Those in the women's shelter would probably view such a gift as sexual harrasment or mockery.
Selling it... Ah well, I wouldn't be comfortable too. But it'll probably sell. Don't forget to clean it throughly too.

That sounds very exotic a place. I understand Japan would be a hard place to adapt to without being fluent in the language.
I hope you two do. That would be very romantic!
