I believe you're not completely right about the probability of getting to 12, since you only calculated the chance of getting there directly by moving up one spot after each roll, while it's also possible to stay in the same spot after some rolls and then move on afterwards eventually reaching 12. So the actual chance of getting there should be higher.
And I just missed the chance of joining by a few minutes...

Yeah, i sort of realized that after the fact, but didn't want to try to figure the rest out. This little problem was quite a bit more difficult than I thought it would be when I first started to figure it out.
