My little Island off the coast of Europe is complicated
England, Scotland, and Wales are separate counties
But all part of Britain
Which you guys think of as the "UK"
Add a number of surrounding islands e.g. Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney, Sark, Herm and the Hebrides which comprise the territory of England, Scotland and Wales.
and you get Great Britain.
add Northern Ireland,
and you have
The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
Which is the "UK"
Add many other islands and territories world wide
The sun is always shinning on part of our dominion 24/7
Add our commonwealth
and you get the largest empire of all time.
I have a problem or two with other parts of Europe,
not all that serious but a niggle none the less.
There you go that's my halfpennyworth.

What the heck,
Clean sweep,
Start anew,
Following
"A good coat of looking at"
By the by
You tea-bagging, gormless, yacky council gritter.
means what?
you hijack my posts
now you attempt to hijack my mother tongue
As an aside your "mother tongue" is often defined as the language you count in
Methinks you are trying too hard at linguistics.
