so I have recently reinstalled windows 8.1 64 bit on my pc and am trying to use guideme but am coming up to a problem.

I can start it by running guideme.jar and it opens. I can then load a tease. any tease works up to here. as soon as I press the first button guideme freezes and tells me JAVA platform SE binary is not responding then closes guidme. please help me I loved using this program and now I can't get it to work.

Hello :) That program looks really cool. I just tried to start denial mistress (I copied the denial mistress folder into the guides folder and loaded it from there) but I can“t see any pictures. The text looks nice. Which mistake did I make? Thank you!

for denial mistress I guess you better ask in the specific folder next time, as it may not be related to guideMe.

Do you have the latest 0.1.3 guideMe version? Because it's crucial to display pictures.
Do you have any pictre sets in the "ImageSets folder?

Sorry if this is a silly question, but since I'm a bit late to the party, can someone please point me to a working download link to the latest version of GuideMe? Every download link that I've tried in this thread is a dead end (ie leads to a file that's no longer hosted).

Thanks!

I just tried the depositfiles link (http://dfiles.eu/files/fuoay4yj6) and it worked for me.

Not sure why the mega links are not working.
But there is a new version I am working on that will be released soon.
I am finishing off some better documentation for the wiki before I release it.

will see if I can get a 1.3 release back up but 1.4 shouldn't be too long.

Well, I've managed to get a working copy of GuideMe going, but does anyone have a torrent or download link to Gotta Edge 'Em All?

I can upload the revised version I did based on a request earlier in this thread. It includes a couple little enhancements. See that post for more details.

It will take a couple hours to upload (it's about 350 meg). Will post a link when it's done.

Decryption key is missing. This way download is not possible.
Cannot decrypt the metadata without key.

Thank you for reuploading that. What's the decryption key?

GuideMe - MacOS App - 0.1.3

I found it complicated to get GuideMe to run on Mac OS, but finally I managed. I took the package Takenaga released in this post, replaced the GuideMe jar with version 0.1.3, wrote a small startupscript and packaged it as a Mac OS application using the tool Platypus.

It is working and easy to launch, but these are some bugs I've noticed:
  • VLC must be installed
  • Need to switch to another program and back to get the File menu to respond
  • User preferences not showing up
  • Videos not playing
  • Won't exit cleanly, force quit required
Even though all these problems, I think it is useful

Download from MEGA.
