Three comments for Indigo:
1. Asia/China option --- I'm not sure why China is mentioned seperately. China is a part of Asia, and there are lots of other diverse countries that are part of Asia: Japan, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, N/S Korea, Thailand...

2. I'm sure the french are thrilled that Germany gets a seperate option but France does not ;-)

3. Brazil/Argentina are not exactly third world countries (and I'm sure they are also thrilled that the entire south american continent has been lumped into the last option).

Couldn't agree more.
I think France should be in the 3rd world category too. :-D

However, regarding the separations of specific countries from their respective continents.....
I don't think Indigo intended this to be a serious census.
If so, one could go on and on.
Why is the UK separate from the rest of europe....And come to think of it, why is England separate from the UK?
Are the turks considered to be european or asian?

And why, oh why isn't Antarctica represented? You never know, there might be a lone eskimo out there flogging his penguin........Uhm.......so to speak. :innocent:

But considering that there are something like 195 countries in the world, a comprehensive list might be a little unwieldy for these purposes. ;-)

Maybe not. But then, they do seem to consider Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland a part of the UK.
Something quite a few of those inhabitants feel somewhat opposed to, to put it mildly.
So wishing does not necessarily make it so.
Besides which, where else would we put the UK if not in europe?
We can't have 7 continents....And then the UK.
That's just plain messy. :-D

So did I.
Perhaps Germany has started to relive their history while we were talking? :-D
