Hey janmb, the bugs have been sorted out - when I converted the Flashtease version to the TeaseMe verison, a handful of the images got "weirded out" in some odd hashtagged names...

Ah yes. The hash named resources. When TeaseMe downloads image and sound files it works a bit like this:

If the filename in the script is an exact name, TeaseMe will request that exact file from Milovana.com. No problem here.

But if the filename in the script is a generic name, like sarah*.jpg, TeaseMe will request one file from Milovana.com per page on which that generic name is specified. But when asked for a generic file it's milovana.com that decides which file to push down at random. If TeaseMe already has that file, that's when those 'hashed' filenames appear, because they are duplicates.

TeaseMe is a little flawed when it comes to pulling down files that are not explicitly specified in the tease script. There is a good chance that it will not successfully pull them all down.

The only work around I have found is to download a sample of the files for which generics are specified and then look at the filenames to work out what pattern the files are following. For instance, if I get three files down named, sarah1.jpg, sarah14.jpg and sarah27.jpg, then there's a fair bet that there will be more files following the same naming convention. So I manually create a set of download links from sarah1.jpg thru sarah99.jpg and use a download manager to ask milovana.com for them. Once I get all the files I think are in the tease, I then delete the hash name ones.

It's a bit of a ball ache really, and it's a less than ideal solution if you're not a technical person.

As I've said in some CH reviews, I really like hearing the girls in action, so most of the teases I've checked out after following your comment here haven't done much for me. In that regard, this is by far the best I've seen and I've gone through it twice now.

That said, obviously my biggest complaint is that it would've been great if basically every page that was oral or sex had a sound clip associated. I like the plain beats for the stripping and the commanding, since that's "realistic" if you know what I mean. I can see how that would be pretty tedious though, especially when you're merging them with the beat clips. I think it's most noticeable in the gauntlets... lots of silence there. I know they were pure edging, but edging to a beat (or better yet some voiced/moans) is more fun for me.

My other nitpick is that it's long. Loooooong. heh. But, that's okay. I can very easily put some more jump points into the XML file if I really want to. In that vein, is the comment line on each page important, or an artifact of exporting the flash tease to the TeaseMe project?

Now, on to why this is so awesome. :) This is clearly approaching the same space as your Edging Experiment video, but from the other side. It's why I think I like it more than most teases... it's more about control than submission, which is (I think) tending towards the CH ideals. As a mostly-vanilla horny straight guy, this suits me very well.

If you do import video clips into this, that really would be straddling the line between these flash teases and the CH videos, especially if you still overlayed the beat tracks. No need for complex beats here, or music, just faster or slower in short clips along with some pauses, edging, and the other games the various girls played. In some ways, I think this would have even more possibilities than creating a CH video, though without the very clever overlap with the video game concept.

I just have a feeling that creating something like this takes a lot more time to edit down, and especially de-bug with all the branches and tiny files. I guess that's instead of actually lining up beats to music and potentially creating the beat meters though, so I can't say that for sure.

Obviously you could shorten this up quite a bit to temper overall project size with incorporating mid-res to hi-res video, but I think that would be a very novel and interesting way to go in the future. In theory, Cock Hero could be rolled right into TeaseMe as a more focused environment than the Randomizer... something to think about.

That was the original plan... funny how plans get messed up when realistic obstacles come into play.

One of the main reasons why some of the oral/sex sequences didn't have sound was the sound was (a) either too boring or (b) way too distracting (i.e. guy grunting too loud, messed up background noise, etc,). Of course, I could've substituted sounds of other girls instead to fit the situation - but I felt I would be cheating the users and especially myself (i.e. I would know when playing through the tease, that the girl's voice/sounds were not of the actual adult model shown).

Lastly, you are damn right it's TEDIOUS as hell! Still, I think the effect is ultimately worth the trouble and a couple of members have PM'd me asking for the steps to doing it - so hopefully, we'll have more teases with similar "enhanced metronome stroking" sounds.

Yup, i know. Can't really help you out about the XML coding, artifacts and all that other stuff... I'm already struggling enough to use Nyx to make FlashTeases! Hopefully d3vi0n or another TeaseMe user can help you out.

Thanks prawndiddy. I really didn't think of it as more about "control than submission"... but it certainly is about keeping yourself in state of "controlled pleasure" and testing your limits to that effect. For me, what I enjoy a lot with my favorite teases here at Milovana are when they really test my ability to control my pleasure and push that limit to see how long I can last. And that's kind of the attitude I went in when creating AC2.

If I do decide to do another update to add videos in the TeaseMe version of AC2, it would be part of the endings and not part of the main body of the tease. Not only is it a lot of work but... I also feel as a tease creator, we have to be a little careful in relying on "videos" to tell a "tease" story.

I say this because, as I think more tease creators will start incorporating videos coded into their teases and FlashTeases (hopefully when Eos is finally up and running), I think it's important that we don't lose our "creativity" in terms of storytelling, plot building and imaginative image usage and start relying on sexy videos to try to tell a story. By no means am I against using videos (hell, you're talking to a guy who's made two video teases)... just stating that if we do see more videos in regular and FlashTeases, they're done as creativity to build the story as using images. One of the best examples of using videos to tell a story is the tease 'My Sexy Flatmates' by Tanqueray and would LOVE to see videos incorporated in regular and FlashTeases in a similar fashion.

Yeah... the danger of relying on streaming videos hosted elsewhere. Shame really, cuz that tease was one of the more under-appreciated teases IMHO.

I managed to find most of them. Googling for the titles works quite well.

The only one I couldn't find was the very last one, which has been deleted from xvideos.com and I don't have a title to go off.

It's a shame that there isn't more information as to where these clips are from, so that I could track down higher quality versions.

While I do agree that some authors might skip creativity in lieu of being able to just effortlessly paste video content into a tease; I highly doubt that would be the case with you. From what I've seen of your different work on here, you actually put a lot of thought and effort into what you're doing.

In my opinion, enhancing the tease with videos in place of much of the photo content would be an asset, not a problem. Let's use Lexi in AC2 as an example:

You added photos of Lexi. Looking at pictures of Lexi giving a POV BJ is nice. Then, you added the teasing text to go along with it, which makes it better. Then, you added mp3 content. Hearing her voice, her slurping sounds, her playful giggles while looking at said pictures greatly enhanced the experience over only reading the text. Now, think about adding the video. Actually seeing her give the BJ, reading the teasing text, and hearing all of the sounds associated with the video, would make the challenge (for the audience) even greater. It would not take away from any creativity. The pictures and sound already exist for that scenario, the only thing that you would be doing is basically putting them in motion. The creativity is already there; you would merely be making it harder on the audience, which, I think, would be the whole point in the first place. ;)

Where the danger lies is someone starting a teases from scratch (or giving up an unfinished tease) and browsing a free video site and just picking a handful of random clips and writing a piss poor storyline to go with them or quite frankly not put any effort into it at all and just typing a few lines about about BPM without actually putting any effort into it whatsoever. Maybe someone might just post some videos with no text at all and just expect the person to watch and play along on their own, which would completely defeat the purpose of this site. I'm sure that you would be in no danger of doing something like that.

The creativity concerns would apply to other authors, not yourself. I'm sure there have been and will continue to be authors who make little to no effort at all when making teases. Videos could be a shortcut for them. I'm sure you've run across a lot of teases on here that basically just paste a photo set without actually making a storyline to enhance them. The argument could be made that the pictures were a shortcut for that "author". The fact is, that the people who made those low quality teases are the problem, not the pictures themselves. I think the same thing can apply to using video content in teases. An author gets out of a tease the amount of effort that he or she puts into writing it, testing it, tweaking it, etc., etc.

I understand your concern about the creativity of the site going down by using video content, but feedback is a big part of this site. If someone doesn't make an effort, they get low ratings and poor feedback. For those who are creative and put a lot of time into their work, it shows, and the amount of positive feedback that you personally get for your teases and CH videos, shows that you are using the tools available creatively.

In other words, if you were to enhance your teases with videos, it wouldn't be a crutch or a shortcut for you. You would take the time to figure out how to use the videos to make whatever you're working on that much better. You would stop and ask yourself, "What can I really do with this new tool?", not, "How can I cut corners to speed up the process?".

Just my opinion here, but I don't think that video content in teases should be limited to a "reward video". I think it could be used creatively to greatly enhance the meat, so to speak, of the teases themselves. The only problem that I foresee is that it's possible for the tease to feel off somehow by switching between static pics and videos and back again. Maybe a small test run is needed to determine if that would be the case or if the audience would just easily adjust back and forth.

Just my two cents. Thanks for all the effort that you put into your work. I'm sure you'll figure out what works and what doesn't. :)

Heh, putting pressure on me to deliver a TeaseMe tease with video? Subtlely done, FPT.

I may try an experiment next month involving small video clips in a TeaseMe tease... we'll see how my real life time committments impact that mission.

Indeed, I do have several ideas of how to do it - most of the ideas tho, require quite a large amount of work and - despite the effort I've put into teases in the past - I am, by nature, quite lazy.

I finally lost it at (Yui) in the gauntlet but did watch the rest of the tease anyway. But truth-in-advertising, it was a HARD HARD release .... been a long time since a webtease did that to me.

I do echo the other commenters' points about the length of this single tease. Making it 2 or 3 would be more convenient especially since there's only 1 (passworded) stop point.

I like the mind-fucking that takes place along the way ... devious, clever, and adds a level of random realism to the tease.

That said, one longtime quirk with Milo is the white-on-peach text for buttons makes it VERY VERY difficult to read the text on a given button w/o squinting ... and you can't resize the buttons, either. :(

But that said, if there is a Tease of The Year ..... I nominate this one!

As much as I would love to see you add videos to this awesome tease, I wasn't actually trying to pressure you. More than anything, I was expressing that you probably have a more receptive audience for that than you realize. :)

I know that it's hard work, so I'll stay off your back about it. :)

I wanted to come back in here and give a second review. I've played this... 6 or 7 times now? since my previous post. This really feels above and beyond a standard flash tease, partly from the length but moreso from the audio component, the detailed story, and the sheer intricacy of all the possible paths.

Now, I didn't notice this the first time through, but after that I had been mostly starting from the save point. After a few more times through, I went back and incorporated round 1 again. (I was looking for the pool table scenario again... the counting games are one of my favorite kinds for some reason.) When I got to the dressing room in round 2 (and realized that there were conditional scenarios), it wasn't getting set. I went through that scenario 3 or 4 times before moving on. I even added in a set command for the page and it didn't work, so maybe that's a bug with the app?

I also did end up tweaking the XML pretty heavily. I cut out the conditional checks so that all the scenarios can come up (and let me choose all endings each time), I added in jump points to each round, and I actually cut most of the page timers in about half... it's just SUCH a long runthrough that I couldn't keep making 3-4 hours for it every time. The above bug with repeats is obviously fixed by removing the conditional check... adding the regular "set page" works fine.

Finally, here's some more feedback:

Ariel's one of the most stunning and unique beauties in the whole tease, but her ending is pretty straightforward compared to the others...

Grace's ending is very very tough. So many edges, holds, and double edges. Hot though, of course.

I like Karlie's ending the best I think. Lots of good audio/sex, enough edges, and in particular there's audio and generally a "cooldown" after the cum page. The other endings feel a little abrupt because I'm not sure if I'm supposed to finish and enjoy it *before* I click on the "cum now" button, or after... the text on the following page(s) is part of the cooldown, but it's hard to click in the middle of that, shall we say. So having a little more direction afterwards is nice. If you don't feel like adding videos, even to the endings, you might consider just adding a few more audio files and tweaking the script for them.

One question: For Dawson/Brittany/Grace, how do you envision the "double edge"s to work? I can see a hold+ride, but if I follow a direction and edge, and then click that I edged, and then it tells me to edge again immediately... I don't even know what that would mean. I'm still on the edge, I can just go for a second or two and then click again? I usually just ride it for a bit and then click through...

Would love to try out the modified version, if you wouldn't mind sharing your XML. :)
