actually either would be correct.

but i believe that Banquo wrote it this way b/c he had earned more edges since i had helped him with those 4 and therefore they were not the latest earned but infact the last done.

could be wrong, English might be what my degree is in but there are some times where it barely makes sense to me in it's more formal form.
