Re-tried this last night. Man, this thing is relentless! I lost at (I think) round 8, without using perks of any kind. I think that was the same round that killed me the first time. Normally I make it to the end of these things, with either no problems, or the only problem being NOT shooting when I'm supposed to (because lately, so many of the other authors make what's supposed to be the cum round really, really anticlimactic). This will be the first to take me more than two tries. I won't say yours are the only CH games hard enough to be interesting (double entendre intentional) but they're easily the clearest examples.

Might retry it with the perk system I proposed in the thread about how nobody actually uses perks. Would be a good playtest for it.

I really enjoyed this one, seems like you knocked down the ADD-ness just enough. I particularly enjoy how you manage to pick some really hot models and scenes. In terms of constructive criticism, I do appreciate that the beat is timed well to the music, but at the same time, I wish it would change more often or go slightly faster overall (10-15%?). I believe this is simply a matter of taste, but to reference other CH videos, the StrokerAceHD and latest Flux 6 episode are both rather upbeat and with many beat changes.

Lastly, would you be open to someone remixing your beats for this video? I was thinking about doing it as a project later on once I got a new computer, but I didn't want to tread on your creation.

I'm certainly open to the idea of you doing it, but not so fond of the idea of re-encoding a new version with the new beats. If you can handle all of the technical stuff on your end, then you have full creative liberty to play with my videos.

As I'm working on 3, I'm trying to add some beat complexity while also sticking to the flow of the song. Personally, it's always jarring when CH videos just throw in a full-beat stroke at the end of a song "just because." I understand that it's like a last-ditch effort to make the player lose, but it's so unnatural that it just ruins that opportunity for me.

I've also tried extending the clip lengths a little bit more than 2, which I think has been useful, especially when comparing what I've finished of 3 to 2. Typically, in 2, a clip would last for 4-8 beats, and now in 3 a typical clip is 16 beats, though I play with clip length when the beat changes. This has both made editing 3 faster (bigger clips means less clips) as well as allowing me to show more footage that I think is good; often in 2 I'd go through and find a really good section and end up distributing it across a number of model cycles. Now, you get most of the scene in a single pass, so I can show more.

No ETA on 3. After I finish editing the scenes, I've got some post-production stuff I want to do outside what I've done previously to hopefully bring up the quality in some areas I feel it's been lacking.

Take as long on the new vid as you need hiphop, the past two videos have been some of my favorites in the community so far (I'm more into the hardcore action as well), but I wouldn't want you to put out anything you felt was sub-par or incomplete just to get it done faster. Looking forward to see what you come up with.

Just to make sure I'm on the same page--you are OK with me taking your video and simply redoing the beat track, but you did not want me to just write up a suggested beat track and have you do it, correct? Or did you mean for me to make something up entirely new, using your videos?

What I mean is if you can implement the beat yourself (meaning creating the beat, silencing the original beat, adding it to the video, and exporting the video), go for it. I can give you a list of the exact names of songs and stuff, but any other level of work on the remix is beyond what I'm able to do. Rendering out a new video with the new beat would take longer than I'd like to spend on anything that's not CH-H3.
