Indy, I got a question....sorting the names randomly....isn't that going to open up for some problems with people trying to get their times to match up?
I'm not saying I have an idea, other then people listing what part of the world they are in, to try and help the sorting go easier.....
And I do realize I never put my name down............besides the fact that I suck at chess, even though I love the game....between things here and the outside world...taking on something else would leave me to far stretched and I might break into. *giggle*
Anyway.....I think this is a wonderful idea.....and I for one appreciate you stepping up to take over. *Smile*
Yes, and no. The short answer is, that's why I've given each "grouping" 72 hours (three days) to complete their game. After the matchups, if any group feels that they can't complete their game, they can request a new matchup, to see if it works better.
If I don't keep the name pair-ups random, I could, with a little bit of foreknowledge, actually swing the entire game in a direction I choose, and manipulate the system into seeing the person I want win their games. All I'd have to do is pair someone up with some talent against someone that doesn't. Yeah, I know, there's no way to accurately gauge who's good and who's not, right? Right. In any case, random is the best solution.
So ... you're *not* playing, Shell?

Not even if I asked nicely?
Ahhhh, I see!!! I also see why you are so qualified for overseeing this. Thank you for the explanation. *Smile*
Besides not being very good at Chess....ummmm.....It was brought up in the beginning that this was going to have sexual type rewards and what nots. And...ummmm......*blush*....well, I can't be going in that direction.
But if I was wrong, or that initial thought has changed.....then okay....sign me up....but who ever gets paired with me.....I almost guarantee you won't need to schedule more then five minutes of time to whoop my butt! *lol*

Can we suggest some sexual rewards or penalties for the game or do you already have something in mind?

I think adding some tasks/rules would add an extra link to the chain so to speak. It could be a case of established rules that if both members who are playing at the time can abide by them, then those rules are in effect and if one or both people involved can't do the rules, then they are not in effect unless those two have their own rules/incentives.
I'm awful at being creative but it's just an idea so that way people who wants extras added in can and those who can't do them aren't required to. Just an idea

I think that's a great idea. Each paring can choose between themselves what the winner loser will get or if they decide not to do anything sexual.
For the finals or the last few matches maybe the parings could invouvle a community vote that both players agree too.
This will let those that wish to have a reward/punishment can and those that don't wish to don't have to.

I think if it was a standard set of rules that you voted on to use or not.....that kinda thing. You could alter things as need be but at least it would give a base and some semblance of a tournament if that makes sense.
I'm just firing from the hip here

Yes, the winner was lupekato, unfortunately the finals was a forfeit, but may be (unofficially) replayed at some point:
