I did it again. But can't manage to get out. No idea how to find the right way. And always get into the traps. They are awesome. The best tease I have ever seen so far.

I'm glad you liked it, maybe when my exams are over I'll write another part.

Looking forward to the next part Nez - great concept for sure!

Part 1 is not really mappable though, but doesn't really matter anyway :-D

it is mappable. If you can't do it that doesn't make it unmappable. It's just that the corridors are of different lengths.

Are all corridors to be considered straight between each intersection?

What throws me off is that you some places say things like "the corridor make a sudden turn and then...." you are asked to choose left, right or straight.

If corridors are straight this works, but you are not very clear on that :-D

no, they are not straight. And still it's mappable.

I always get stucked. Unbelievable. Probably I am just too stupid :-)
Lovely traps. I will definitely have another got

lol, well I'm not trying to be picking here - I am enjoying your work very much, but last time I ran the tease it had statements like "The corridor makes a sudden turn, then you have to choose left or right"

I am not a mind reader, so no way to know which direction you intend the corridor to turn before the T section, if you see what I mean :-D

For a labyrinth to be mappable by someone who doesn't hold the answers up front, all descriptions need to be 100% unambiguous.

In the end of the day this discussion is kinda stupid though, I'm sure we all do this type of tease not really hoping to get through the fastest or with the most control - in fact the very opposite :-D

I guess I'm just suffering from terminal "engineerness"

Now how should I put it? I can easyly make another section, and another, and so on. But there are a few problems with it.
First af all, it's pretty boring for me to write new traps. It has no plot development, so the basic stands for making more and more tasks.
The other thing, I'll soon be ran out of ideas.
I just don't think I'll force myself to write another section with the full set of traps.

So how would you, the fans, like the idea of the below system:
There are a few traps, that are picked up randomly, and that are random themself. I meen that there are a few trap palettes, like "strokind", "edging", "edge holding", etc, but they vary, like 1 time you may be asked to edge 4 times, the other time only 2, and the other time like 6 times, etc.
So there will be no more static traps, that you'll always find in the same place, rather I'll make them dynamic, so you may know there IS a trap around that corner (if you play the tease not the 1st time), but you'll never know what will it be.
Now it sounds like fun up till now, but there's a backside to it. By doing so, I'm planning to lessen the ammount of traps needed writing. So if, say, the labyrinth will be long (when new sections added), you will encounter some traps again and again. Off course I'll try to make the ammount the more I can, but that's the evil that'll eather way occur.
The bright side that way is, that I can make new sections for you to explore easyly and fast. And off course randomness.

So, thoughts?

Let me just say that this was one of the best teases I've ever done. The 1st time I did it, I spent an hour and a half, and didn't get out (but couldn't keep going). 2nd time was similar. 3rd time I finished, and hope there is a part 2. So, whatever it takes for part 2 (3, 4, 5....), I'd say go for it.

really great tease, was stuck for over a hour and then tried to always go to the left or straight.
Didn't work :\'-(

Have to try it again and make a map.
Hope i don't make a mistake

Would be really glad to see part 2 one day :-D

I loved this tease. It was brilliant. Superb premise. Excellent casting of the Lust demon.

It was technically brilliant too. I liked the way that it guided you through your instructions. And even if you are doing a set task for a minute or more, it still changed images every 30 seconds or so. I don't like the teases where you're stuck on the same page for too long and "Maze Of Lust" avoided this beautifully.

I spent several enjoyable hours stuck in that maze, falling into this trap and that. Eventually I managed to find my way out.

But I have a request. I have tried to map it out, but even with the information in this thread I am struggling. So would someone be so kind as to PM me a map of the labyrinth, please?

I made an offline copy for TeaseMe. It's great to play your awesome tease in "fullscreen" :-D

Nezhul,

I've finally managed to map the maze. But only after extracting the script and parsing and analysing it in excel. What can I say? a)it was bugging me and b) I'm developing a flashtease code generator in excel that will take a map drawn on a worksheet and generate all the rock solid code required for a map into which tease elements can be slotted. I wanted to use the Maze of Lust to test it with.

However, I just want to ask a question. Is one tiny portion of the map deliberately obstruficated?

In the location represented by pages S1p14# and S1p36# you can go to S1p26#? But you cannot return to the former location as no page exists for it. Is this a deliberate one way link?

Instead the location represented by pages S1p22#, S1p26# and S1p35# all link one way to S1p33# which is the page used when you exit trap S1pT6v2 (which is completely on the other side of the map). I would have expected S1p22#/S1p26#/S1p35# to link back to the S1p14#/S1p36# location.

So is all this deliberate obstrufication or have I found a bug? :-)

Absolutely the best I have seen on this site! Please do not think it an insult if I eventually pick it up and somewhat copy the idea. Not only did I love it, it inspired me to return to coding such games.
