I would expect them to hurt, they are pointy things! And from I can tell reading about it the smaller ones seems to be perfectly safe but the larger ones should probably not be used for long periods of time.

Long ones shouldn't be used at all if you can avoid it! I've had some nasty looking bruises courtesy of those things before...

Not yet! But I think I need to be careful. We seem to have moved onto a new path lately and I have to say it's been pretty amazing so far.
I should schedule monthly EKGs to make sure everything stays okay..
