I've never tried e-stim before, but I am curious about getting into it. Sadly I don't have much engineering capabilities to actually make one of these kits so I was wondering if say something like the E-Stim 2B would be a worthy purchase? And if it even works with most of these E-Stim files, since I read that it converts sound digitally and doesn't use the same mechanics as some of these DIY kits.

afaik the 2B is not ideal for use with sound files and not recommended. there are still some 312 on sale but the price point is ridiculous as of now and you won't get parts anymore in the forseeable future (312 is discontinued).

so either waiting for the deep by kink or asking someone to build a unit for you may be your best options if you don't want to try building one yourself.

It's really not difficult to build your own. You don't need to do any soldering. Components are readily available. I bought almost everything I needed from one company.

^ This is very true. There are lots of very fancy DIY designs that might seem intimidating but the basics are very simple.

My first estim-box (which served faithfully for several years and still works great) was an old-fashioned 'davey-box'. Assembly instructions go like this:

• Purchase a cheap set of battery-powered speakers and two audio transformers.
• Cut the 4 wires that connect to the speaker cones.
• Connect the one side of the transformers to the wires where the speakers used to be.
• Connect the electrodes to the other side of the transformers
• Sit back and enjoy.

It can literally be done in less than 20 minutes and works just as well (or better) than a lot of the commercial boxes. It's not the best possible design, but it's more than good enough to get a taste of estimming and see whether you want to take the plunge with something more expensive/complex.

Satn00b, I use your sticky post all the time to locate old favorites and new estim additions. It's a great resource! Thanks for maintaining and updating it. I recently noticed that Porn Academy is no longer listed in the VR Content section. Well, after getting my basic beginners VR headset yesterday, I was totally immersed in VR Academy' ramped up by the accompanying intense estim file and nice, nonintrusive beat bar. Would you consider adding it back to the VR Content section? Thanks.

I had to do soldering for connecting the electrodes to the transformers. I also ended up doing a lot more to make myself custom cables for various tri-phase setups. That being said, soldering isn't that hard, you can buy a kit off amazon for a few bucks that comes with the iron and some solder.

Does anyone know about CH blue angel estim files? Looking on the main post for the video there was a mega shared for one file, which is now dead, then another one which links to a StLucifer file. Now my understanding is that all of StLucifer's files are triphase, but on the attached pdf (cant recall where i got this pdf) it says that blue angel was Dual Channel file. What I'm trying to find out is if there was two files for blue angel or if there was only ever the one by StLucifer. If there is another one, would any one happen to have it?

For me the 2b works nice with audio files and by the way I had 312b in the past and prefer the 2b for its compactness, make sure you use it with high power settings and also with the dc adapter

I play video on my ipad and i play the mp3 on an old iphone plugged in the 2b just start them simultaneously

I'm using VLSync which allows me to play both files in sync easily, each on a different audio device. I use my internal sound card for the headphones and a cheap external (usb) sound card with volume dial for the stim audio.

Posting a link to my longer thread post; it includes two new tracks some might be interested in. You don't have to have a double stim box to play these.
