I'm seeing that it "can be whatever", which is why I like it so much!
But if it is going to screw up the time, that is set in preferences, as you describe then I wouldn't bother.
Of course, if you think a pause button would be good......that's your call when/if you do another update.

Hello :) That program looks really cool. I just tried to start denial mistress (I copied the denial mistress folder into the guides folder and loaded it from there) but I can´t see any pictures. The text looks nice. Which mistake did I make? Thank you!

make sure your picture sets are not archived and they are in .jpg or .jpeg.
In the imagesets folder there should be folders, each of them contains PHOTOS. not archive, not another folders - images.

I´ve got three folders in there. I didn´t change anything. It is three picture sets that were included in the program /Red Dress, black mini, exercise). They aren´t zipped. Every folder only contains jpegs.

The problem is most likely tied with VLC or Java. GUideMe uses VLC libriary to play sounds and video, and on the second page there is a sound. Additionally, the swt jar file, vlc and java all need to be either 32 bit or 64 bit and they can't be mixed. So if you try to run x64 version of guideMe but have x32 Java or VLC installed, it will not work properly for you.
Try updating those to be all the same version - either x32 or x64

Same problem. This does not work for me. It shows a black screen with text but no pictures or anything. The text storyline moves along like it should.
Tried deleting the files and redownloading. Nothing.
The restart option does not work.
I too have 3 folders of pictures. The path to the images is E:\Milovana GuideMe\Guides\Denial Mistress\ImageSets
Red dress w/ 108 jpegs
Black Mini w/ 142 jpegs
Exercise w/ 136 jpegs
I can run other teases fine but this one will not work for me.
The title says Denial Mistress (2). Is there a first one that I am missing some files from?
Since I can get others to work, I don't think so but I ask anyways....Am I doing something wrong here even though I can get others to work?

Also check that you have GuideMe 0.1.3 because it's crucial to starting the tease.

I have Windows 7 64
I redownloaded and reinstalled:
-GuideMe-v0.1.3-Win64.zip from
viewtopic.php?t=12944 1st post on 1st page option 1 for 64bit from MEGA
-vlc-2.2.1-win64.exe from
https://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html
-Windows Offline Java Installer jre-8u60-windows-x64 from
https://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
At first I had the folder in my E drive but the 2nd install I put it on C drive since that where all my VLC and Java stuff is installed to so the drive letters would not have to communicate w/ each other for the program.
Before I also started the program with the start icon which brought up a black CMD box and said something about JAR. Then learned you can start it right from GuideMe.jar but that didn't help either.
Replaced original xml with the update xml. Still no luck on pictures or sounds.
All the others I have still work fine.

That log file is pretty big and I have no clue what to even begin looking for.
However I tried installing this all on my laptop and it worked.
All the other teases I had on the desktop I removed from the guide folder.
Re-unzipped the Denial Mistress and made it look exactly how the folders were on the laptop.
Got it going on the desktop now!!
Brought all the other ones I had back into the guide folder and its still working good.
So I think it had something to do with how the folders were laid out.
Regardless its working now and I like it so far!! :)
Figured out how to used custom picture as well.

GuideMe can be a bit sensitive about directory paths.
characters like # and possibly spaces in the directory names are not handled very well in places so can mean pictures / audio / video files don't get loaded.
If I find a fix I will try to incorporate it but in the short term try keeping the path to guide me simple and it should all work.

I may have actually hard-coded windows-style separators in the links. Although if I remember correctly, GuideMe should substitute them with the right ones?
