We've made a couple funscripts and generally stick to 100ms threshold between strokes. Which is pretty fast but not quite fast enough to keep up with double or triple time beats though. For those parts we just shorten the length of the stroke and squeeze as many as we can during double time parts. Which just means we lose like every 3rd or 4th stroke but hardly noticeable.

But when writing the scripts the fun part isn't the speed but being able to control the stroke itself. Since now you can control whether its a full or half stroke or fast or slow. It is these variations that make the launch so much more enjoyable. Doubletime is just doubletime and actually not as stimulating as the other possible variations with the launch.
