I have been trying things a different way, taking away the IMG codes, in the reply, that creates the image and leaves just the URL. That way the link can be used if someone wishes to use it...but it's not a repeat of the picture. Hopefully that is working out nicely for everyone and perhaps it will catch on and others will do that as well. *smile*janmb wrote:In retrospect, given the need to somehow convey which image we are commenting on at any given time, quoting the image itself seems the lesser among evils really. I understand about your suggestion about the repeated images. I have thought about it over the weekend.
One problem that I see with trying to make comments about an image without having the image present, is that even the one the comment is made to, might not know which picture is being commented on, if the picture isn't present.
Another thing is this.....when I want to comment on something, it is so much easier to click on reply and comment right there, then to try and describe a picture...that takes more time. But as you will notice...I did just post the links and not the picture through this reply. *Smile* All though sometimes it is nice to see the image again.
I am sorry that it's repetitive. I appreciate you sticking around, even though that frustrates you. *soft smile*
:D
