I know enough that this is interesting but not enough to actually decipher what this tool does. Can anyone explain it to me like I am a really dumb puppy?

I have published a new version of the cyoa site (just click the check for update button near the search icon)
It fixes performance and memory issues, as well as download speeds.

I get nothing.

It seems to be downloaded, but I press play and I get this forever:

This happens to me, but not often. Can you try pressing the left and right arrow keys after you tell it to play?

That did the trick! Left doesn't work (I assume because it starts at the beginning of the track, so can't 'go' left) until you press right first, so for me, I have to press right (which skips to part way into the track) and then left to get back to the beginning again.
Once I've done this, I can press 'Stop' and 'Play' again and it works fine until I refresh the page.

This happens every time. It's fine now that there's a workaround, but it's not ideal.

Can I provide any debugging info?

Can you let me know what version of chrome? Now that I've fixed the networking issues, I want to take this.

Can you update the client and let me know if it's fixed for you?

Which client are you referring to?

My Chrome still says it's up-to-date, so I can't update that.
I force-reloaded the page using Ctrl+F5, but that didn't change anything.
I removed the 'pseudo' item from the list on the left and then re-pasted the magnet link to re-download it. That didn't seem to fix it.
I removed the entire folder I had given Chrome access to, and then reloaded the page, but that didn't work because the folder didn't exist...
I created the folder and tried again, but it's the same as before - it doesn't play until I press right/left.

If there's something I've missed, or any debugging info I can give you, let me know.

Click that button to check for updates (or click update if it says update instead). force reloading once may not have done it.

Click that button to check for updates (or click update if it says update instead). force reloading once may not have done it.
That button doesn't seem to do much. I click it, but there's not much feedback that I've clicked it. No widgets are disabled or changed as a result. In any case, I've pressed it a few times. It disn't seem to help.

I've also found another, possibly related problem. The beatmeter stops moving a few (maybe 10-ish) seconds before the end of the video - there are still beats that haven't yet reached the marker (where they reach when you stroke). If I skip backwards at this point, the beats start moving again until that point in the video, where they stop again. If I skip forward, then it goes past the end of the video and I get a blank video screen (the beatmeter remains frozen with beats on it). When I then skip back again, playback is stopped and the beatmeter remains frozen with the bets frrom near the end of the track, and doesn't start again without clicking the stop and play buttons at the top. Perhaps that's deliberate, I don't know...

I'll try to add some feedback for the click... Problem is it's kind of a fire and forget call. No feedback. From api either.
However it means that you have the latest version of the app.

That's weird about it still freezing for you. That was happening to me but it's very intermittent.
I also found some regressions in chrome on other areas of chrome that hopefully they will fix soon.

Thank you for the report about the end of the round. That's very helpful.

This is now fixed :)

This is really cool! I love anything that pushes the boundaries.

I got 5-800 kbps on a gigabit connection :D but it worked fine for me. Super interesting concept!

If I keep the client open will I be lending my upload to any others who download it? I would love to help out in that small way if that's how it works.

Yes, you will
