I have to agree with some of the other guys here. The video, content wise, and editing, is suberb. But the beat instructions don't even match the beats of the music. Without a beat track to go with the instructions, it worked better for me to just ignore the instructions and follow the music. Except for a couple ramp-up parts. Those were really good. Over all, I think it was a good video. Better than I can do. Maybe not CHesque in the purest sense, but I applaud your efforts.

Boom boomboom is 1-2
Boomboom boomboom is 2-2
Oh OK, that clarifies one thing. I would have read "1-2" as "boom boom." Now I know. But I still don't know WHICH "boom" is the boom that corresponds to the number. A song that has an inherent 60 beats per minute (a.k.a. one beat per second) quarter-note, could be interpreted as having 60 booms, or 30 booms, or 15 booms, or perhaps even 120 booms per minute. Which boom is the right boom, the one that indicates the measure, the one that indicates the stressed beats in the measure, the one that indicates every beat in the measure, the one that indicates the smallest reasonable subdivision, the one that indicates the largest reasonable subdivision or "superdivision", what?
See what I mean?

I'll probably add an audible meter to this at some point and post...I would overlay my own beats but I feel the text would get cluttered, so I'll just follow the directions and attempt an interpretation of boom boomboom ;) Thanks for your work again! Fantastic stuff...
Actually...can you render a copy without the lower third text? Then I can add a more complex beat track...that'd be awesome...

Very nice editing I really like the content but I just can't hear the beats. Or can't distinguish from the music... :\ So for me this is not a good CH.

Boom boomboom is 1-2
Boomboom boomboom is 2-2
Finally.... I understand what that actually means now...

Why don't you just post the password in this thread?
Ad.fly by itself would have been acceptable. But having to fill out a survey/downloading some dubious software just takes the matter a few steps too far.
I have no problem with you making money off of this. But at least do it in a more reasonable manner.

Really sorry for english user but our friend seems to be french so i'll speak french.

I tossed this out probably, oh, a year ago in another thread about beat meters and how to convey that sort of thing. I think using numbers is really confusing because they can be interpreted multiple ways (as shown here). If you're not going to animate something, I'd suggest using a
clave notation. Instead of writing numbers, throw up boxes (or just underscores if you want to lean on the easy text overlays) to show timings.
It would look something like the bottom of this image:
It still leaves the viewer to figure out alignment, but either the music is simple enough that any alignment works, or it has something distinctive in it to help out. Just a thought... if I ever get around to my CH idea I'll be trying to animate the meter, but this seems like a better "minimum" than just throwing out numbers as text.
-- Edit: It also helps keep you from coming up with some weird pattern that doesn't abide by the music's phrasing and ends up "rolling" from one bar to the next, which is something that even the animated meters don't prevent.

Can someone post the password as the password is no longer accessible even thru the included instructions? The adf.ly site in the RTF file,
http://adf.ly/k9MxY, forwards to a filesquick.net page that no longer exists.

Congratulations for the author, for making this video, and for screwing the release, and download, to oblivion.

Probably the filesquick.net page only contained a survey anyway.
Fortunately though I'm a computer genius so it wasn't hard to figure out the password:

But wait! If you haven't downloaded it yet I would suggest to download the torrent Rygel posted instead. It only contains the MOV file without the two extra layers of password protected ZIP nonsense:
