This is not possible. If the funscripts were created with a converter, the best approach is to run the converter with three-phase settings. If someone made custom 4-phase funscripts, the best approach is to ask the creator to provide funscripts for three-phase.

The problem is that I have not build a foc-stim with 4 output, I only have the 3 port foc-stim.
Where are you finding things that have the e1-e4 scripts?

Hi Diglet,

I built the V1 a couple years ago and loved it. I am on windows 11. It has stopped working for me and I'm not sure why. Somewhere around restim v1.3 it stopped connecting to restim for me. I used STM32CubeProgrammer to upload the latest .bin file to the board and have not been able to get it to connect to restim since it stopped connecting. All the electronics look fine from what I am able to see. When I hit the play button on restim the other window says:

Connecting to FOC-Stim at COM3
connection established
get firmware version...
timeout requesting firmware version
closing connection yo FOC-Stim

Am I missing something obvious?
Should I order a new B-G431B-ESC1 from Mouser?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

I just tested the latest firmware and it still works.

Can you try without 12V? Do you get any output on the serial monitor in visual studio?

It is possible to kill this board, I have a quite few dead ones, but none of them were killed by FOC-stim software.

Hey Diglet,

It's back alive again!

With just the USB and no power and Visual Studio running I got

Connecting to FOC-Stim at COM3
connection error: Access is denied.

And I got nothing at all on Visual Studio in the teleport window.

So it seemed like that didn't do anything.

Then I plugged in power and quit Visual Studio and it came back to life. It recognized the firmware version and started signal generation.

I really don't feel like I fixed anything, but it is working again and that's all I wanted.

Thanks for your help and I'll ping you again if it stops working again.

Thanks,

Could it be that something (restim or some other software) was still accessing com port? Perhaps you have some sw on machine that starts talking to com port and then all other programs get Access is denied so it looks like a dud

Thanks Edger, that's a good thought and I'll have to look into that.

Thanks again for all done in this.
Edgar477 and thanks to you for making the software that deliver fine result from funscript.
I just love all your old creation. Thay are speciale good.
But I have to say that I can not figure out why newer software from you just not feel as god as using the old software.
The best aproch is when using v1.0.2 and with default settings. Then it feel much more smooth and powerfull.
I only have FOC-Stim verion 1 box build. So I do not know if it is becouse the newer sofware makes files better
for this new type version 3 etc.
All the old funscript that you have made has also a much more powerfuil function.
But thanks again to make all this waiable for free.
I also know that it also depend on what the original funscript is made for. But Again I have traked back
to this version v1.0.2 that make a much better output for me.
Not sure how to explain this futher. English is not my plain language.
PS: I do not se it has anything with the firmware for the Box this just work flowless.

I checked and I can't really see any big changes from 1.0.2 to 1.0.3. There was a change in pipeline to use the source funscript instead of alpha for some of the calculations, but those 2 are normally pretty similar. The foc v1 and v4 should produce almost same signal. Have you tried latest version with default settings (so just unpack its folder and run with the default config)? Perhaps you have something set up in your config to cause the volume to move too harshly or pulse frequency to go too low.

Also, is your fusncript/tcode mapping in restim changed from defaults?

Best to generate 2 sets of files, one that you like, and one that you don't and then compare them in OFS or send to me with timestamps where/what you particularly find not enjoyable in new version.

Now I se clear what is the different from taken the old version vs. new version. I try to added in OFS. And this clear the picture of what is different. The first is generated with newest software version 2.35. And the second is from 1.02.
I have also try to set the same settings from the the old default, but it is not possible to set all.
This is what I have try to change.
Algurithm: Top-Right-Bottom-Left. (0-270)
Pulse frequecy min : from 0.4 to 0.3.
Interpolation interval: 0.02 to 0.1
Pulse Frequency Min: 0.5 to 0.3
Pulse Frequency Max: 0.99 to 0.95
Frequency Combine: 3.7 to 2
Pulse Frequecy Combine: 3.0 to 3 (same)
Ramp % per. hour: 10 to 15
Volume Combine Ratio (Ramp | Speed): 25.2 to 6.0
Pulse With Max: 0.55 to 0.45
This is only for the alfa. But the same is seen in other funscripts.

puste wrote: Fri May 15, 2026 10:39 pm Interpolation interval: 0.02 to 0.1
this is the difference. 0.02 makes 50 dots per second, while 0.1 makes 10 dots per second. That is why generated file has one dot for every 5 in old one.

Note that there was a bug in e1-e4 axes - these did not add interpolated dots, that was fixed in 2.36

puste wrote: Fri May 15, 2026 10:39 pm Volume Combine Ratio (Ramp | Speed): 25.2 to 6.0
This will make quite aggressive increases in volume when script speeds up. More towards ramp means the speed causes less volume changes, while more towards speed makes the volume highly dependent on the speed.

hi diglet,

I noticed that release 1.3.0 has maximum amplitude to 200mA (tested and working) , when I upgraded to 1.3.2 maximum amplitude is back to 150ma.
Is this correct?

The minimum order quantity on JLC is 5 boards, you can sell any spares, there is plenty of demand.
We're having a batch right now and will post it soon on Joannes DC. Shipping from germany for EU customers.
