boundupone wrote: Fri Sep 12, 2025 4:08 pm interesting, how are you going about rebalancing files like this?
So here's the deal. The stim files were created by something like a dozen or more authors, so I took each separate type of file and worked on leveling them out at the author level. When the frequencies are different and the waveforms aren't the same, even if the volume level is a match in Audacity, the intensity often isn't.

Basically I created a text file in notepad and copy/pasted the audio filenames and as I'd play the tease in GuideMe, I'd take notes on whether a file would need to be higher or lower and took a rough guess at what volume level was about right. After that, I made changes, played through again with those changes and fine tuned on each run of the tease.

It was a ton of work to do, but I think it's pretty much good to go with what I have. The trouble is I did this back in the SmartStim days and knowing climberr/climberrr or however many Rs are in that name was tossing out copyright BS on other people's work, I never wanted to post the full volume change list because the filenames would identify that many of them came from the place, so I didn't. That's not an issue anymore, but at the same time I stopped thinking about it after a certain amount of time.

I can try to find the full list sitting on a 17 year old laptop or the backup of that laptop at some point and toss it in here, but I'm a little low on free time to dig it up for at least a week or so because of other life obligations. Once I'm done with my personal stuff or in between a bunch of it, I'm currently play testing a new estim video for someone else that's in production.

I don't know if the volume settings I have would be a direct drop-in for the Milovana v1 version or not because I don't know if GuideMe handles it differently. The other downloaded offline version is difficult because the filenames are all renamed before it gets pulled from Milovana, so that might take additional work looking through the tease file for all of the relative name connections.

I'm sure it's something that could be solved though. Also it's the "telephone torture" file that needs to be replaced with the original, at least in the GuideMe version but it might have a messed up(painful) beginning part in both v1 and v2 on Milovana, but not certain.
Thanks for the detail, and yes, I had a run in with him where he made threats, stim is a better place now for sure

simple question, once you had played file a and b and decided file b was x level too strong, what was your methodology/software/process to lower (or increase) each file by x percent?

I think towards the end of 2020 was when GuideMe had the volume feature that let the volume be set via the code and I just searched the GuideMe tease code file using Notepad and changed the volume there.

I didn't change the audio files.

For my part, I messed around having taken a OBS capture and then started adjusting the levels of the scenes once I ripped it. A quick and dirty way to do it, but easier than remastering the entire audio. I'm guessing each stereo box also has it's own "flavor" that can really make the "shocks" feel a lot different.

OK, thanks, understood on what you did

The Estim Experiment V2 has been my favourite for a long time.
I use it with both an Erostek ET312B (set with Rampup like instructed in the tease) and an Abox on my nippies (bipolar) and selfbondage with a Magbound set for 120 minutes.
I love(d) it.

But recently something has changed dramatically.
Even with ramp disabled, most teases can hardly be felt, while some are fine and a single one quite strong.
Same with the Abox, most teases do nothing, while one or two make me fight in my restraints.
Other teases work fine, like Estim bondage, The experiment 1, 2 and 3, Bryci's, Estim tower, etc.

So, what happened? Did someone fiddle with the files, or soundlevels?
Can it be restored?
If someone thinks this is better, fine. But then please restore the original version and call it V3.

There are few Estim teases, and almost all need feedback, making it impossible to use with a strict selfbondage.
I just want to layback, bound, gagged and blindfolded, and enjoying the variety of teases and intensities V2 offered before.

Best regards,
Rick

Hi there, nice to know people still play my old teases. and sorry about the issues you are experiencing, but I confirm I have not made any changes at all to the tease so anything different is not related to any changes I have made!

Is anyone else finding the same situation?

Was thinking about this, and would love to know more about how you find a 2 hour self bondage session. Is very brave to totally give over control for so long. Feel free to drop into DM if you prefer

How is this one on the 2B these days? Was there ever a modification to change the files that are too low in volume (or rather, too quick probably) for it?

Hi, I have never had a 2B so can't give any feedback on how it is, but I haven't made any changes to files either so would assume 2B is not ideal. But hopefully a 2B owner will say different.

In that case I don't suppose anyone has the guideme version still? I did try to find it in this thread but it seems the person who posted it was deleted. If I can play it offline I can see which things don't work, ask you for the relevant file names (if they're not obvious), and then I can simply replace them with something else.

Can't tell if that is the latest/current version but found that from 12.2021 in an old GuideMe folder.
Also not sure if I maybe changed something in that files... but maybe that helps.
