I agree, teh 7 edges is driving me wild. Keep telling myself I have to hold out, but soon I'm afraid if I want to or not I'm going to go over.

The presumption is that you have done your edges before the dice roll, so after you move (if you move) up, your new number of edges applies starting the following day....
So, by your note, you're done for the day, and start with two edges tomorrow....

I know one edge seems so easy now, but maybe you should ask the girls how they're doing as they work up through the ranks...

Interestingly I'm the opposite. if I was going to be denied, I'd still want the playing even if it meant lots of edging. Not touching (or being touched) would be much worse for me. I guess everyone is different.

But since I'm not playing, that's not an issue for me!
