Kind of interested too what you are talking about.
Thanks for the feedback.Tedlington9099 wrote: Tue Oct 16, 2018 4:32 am I run an E-Stim Systems 2B and still find that the alternative pain files are a lot less painful than the standard ones, but at least they now do work rather than being disabled.
Hi, thanks for your work (and also to lolol2 for the latest update!), your mod sounds quite interesting. However, I wonder how the increased volume in endless mode works? I'm asking as I own a 2b and my concern is that, after a while, the input signal might become too loud and therefore the signal might loose too much contrast. Is there any limitation to that?sbdx wrote: Sat Sep 22, 2018 4:16 pmThanks for the question! Yes, it will.NEGEV wrote: Sat Sep 22, 2018 11:16 am Thanks. If I play your file will the audio also ramp up in the normal version?
The version that this is based on offers:
In normal Tower mode, the volume increases between floors.
In Endless mode, the volume increase between girls.
This mod adds:
In Dungeon mode, the volume will increase between mistresses.
I have been a stimmer for over 20 years. I consider myself fairly knowledgeable. This is a case where compromise is necessary. With the exception of the BTstim (sold by Current Pleasures) commercial devices process the incoming audio. They do this to smooth out those spikes in order to make the stim "pleasurable." I do not nor have I ever owned a BTstim but it is a completely analog device and requires an external audio source to function. Home built "phaser" devices function the same way. I have been modifying my own version of Estim Tower to include the variable audio functionality and it works very well with my home built device. The only commercial device I currently own are a couple PES boxes that seldom get used and are irrelevant to this discussion and a Centipede. I use the Centipede for a lot of other things besides estim but the same holds true for it. I have also owned a 312, 232 and a 2b and sold them all when I built my own.hosenguy wrote: Tue Oct 16, 2018 3:18 pm I have both 312b and 2B and the incoming source volume will change the signal processing and you will loose the contrast or detail.
I thought there was a setting for the volume that was included when the increasing volume feature was added to the Tower.??
This will be a problem at some point for users of the commercial devices.
You are correct. If you set the initial levels in the script at 90% and throughout the game it increased 5% more than 2 times, well you cant go over 100 so those increases will not be felt.hosenguy wrote: Wed Oct 17, 2018 2:36 am I had time today to find this original post regarding the technique of the volume increase. It is done with a percentage as described inside the spoiler inside the spoiler and starts at a selected level!
What would happen if you set the initial volumes to almost 100% at the start? Then they would not have anywhere to ramp to? (These are part of the user settings in the tease described below.) Unfortunately, I have not played any of the newer releases due to other requirements on my time.
Well anyway this is my "Blah, Blah!" for today.
enjoy.
