Holy crap these take a lot of work! It just took me 3 hours of editing in Audacity to create 5 minutes of the Max3 stim file. The good news is that there are only 14 minutes left to do! I think I tackled a monster when I chose Max3 as my first to do.

Well, here it is. My first attempt at creating a CH stim file. It was a lot more work than I thought when I started. Here are the caveats; it is not tested for stereo stim use. I only use an ET312 so I don't know if it has any rough spots for other stim boxes, as always, be conservative on your settings. This one was made to be exceptionally intense, I don't recommend increasing settings during playback as it ramps up on its own toward the end.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. If anyone wants to create a torrent please feel free.

Wow! Steelhead has done a lot of hard work, but unfortunately I was not able to estimate - can feel overwhelming aversion to dubstep

Finally got around to using one of these last night (Flux dance 3) and it was pretty fantastic.

Question, though - has anyone worked out a good way to sync playback between the audio and video? I have two audio devices in my PC, so I've got the audio playing in an mp3 player using the device the stim box is plugged into while the video's audio track goes to my headphones. Starting both with the same mouse cursor means it'll always be a bit out of sync.

I usually run the stim track through media player and the video through media player classic, have the classic player selected and the mouse hovering over the play button on media player,, hit space and left click you`ll start both at the same time, reselect classic and a quick double tap of the space bar if its still slightly out :)

I play the video track from an external hard drive on my TV while playing the audio from my MP3 player/phone on the ET312.

Depending on your level of tech savvy, what I do is open a video editor, put all the stim track on the right audio channel, all the video audio on the left, then hook up my stim box to the right channel and headphones to the left. You only get mono audio this way, but who cares? I just use a couple $2 adapters from radio shack to do the splitting.

It turns out VLC player my go to media player(perhaps other players also can) can be set so it will open both media file at the same time, you just select them both and voila! well there was this thing with two sound sources one from my digital output and the other from the normal 3.5 jack stick I needed to direct to the Estim box, and sound in my headphones, but I then found a program CheVolume cost a tiny bit, but with this program I can start the two files Video and Estim track with VLC and then using Chevolume to direct them where I need, and with this setup I can now start video and Estim track at the exact same time!

So no more problem with trying to start to things at the same time by going from one program to another, that is the way I use and it works great for me. The only thing I have to do is redirect the sound source in the beginging, but that can be done during the small setup time and the start.

No I just have a lot of important stuff going on at the moment and I have had to sideline all creative things, not just making stim files. I will get back to it when I can but for now RL calls.

So a fellow estimmer over at socialstim has created a file with quadraphonic sound by using a bunch of old porn clips he had on his computer and adding a rear speaker channel to the mpg file. Played through VLC it appears to work quite well. What you need to do to get this to work depends on your sound card and whether you sound card has more than one speaker jack on the mother board. My laptop has more than one sound out on it, so it seems to work just fine. When you plug in your headphones to the green port and you get the pop up asking what you just plugged in, you set them to 'front' speakers. Then you plug in your et312 to the black or blue port, you set it to 'rear' speakers. You then have to set VLC to decode 'quadraphonic' sound. He has more info about it in his post but that short description should get you going...

So I gotta ask; could we maybe start seeing altogether files listed here?...

The forseeable problems with this is that by way of "altogether files" you mean the CH vid complete with recoded audio that has both the stim track and the audio tracks as quadsound to work in the way you mention is....

I dont create CH vids just the stim tracks.
Authors may not be happy about you recoding there creations.
Not everyone has the soundcard capabilities.
Who is going to host the re-encoded videos?

Dont get me wrong what your friend has done is the endgame of creating the files for stimming in my book, I just dont see this being an easy thing to achieve.

Well, I've made it an hour into CH Island. I hope to have it finished by this weekend.
