Thank you shell for that response. It is clear you have a deep respect for animal life.
I must point out, though, that by choosing to believe that the animals are used for meat, you are choosing to be ignorant. Sadly, this is not what happens. It is extremely unlikely that any of these furs were obtained ethically or as a byproduct of the meat industry.
I choose to not watch graphic videos either (that link was to an encyclopedia article), but I acknowledge these things occur and cannot be simply ignored for convenience's sake.
I realize that in the realm of a sexual fantasy this is fairly harmless, but one cannot help but think where the furs in the images came from.
My point is that issues cannot be tossed aside by saying there is "no proof". This is how things are removed from the public conscience and forgotten, and history will attest to such things causing untold harm. A very extreme example is the Holocaust (I'm sorry if this offends anyone, I'm Jewish myself), where people choosing to ignore its existence allowed its perpetuation. Not that I'm suggesting that this is anything similar to that calibre; I'm merely using it as an example.
I'm sorry that I promised to not talk further, but since you took the time to write a long post and bring up important issues I thought it deserved a response.

I have to disagree with you ,Shell is not choosing to be ignorant and she is not tossing aside the issue saying there is no proof . she is giving people the benefit of doubt as to where the fur came from.
as for the furs themselves , some of them could be synthetic .

Yes, some of the furs are definitely synthetic.
Of the ones that are real, though, the chance of them being hunted for food are very slim. As I said before, 80% of furs come from fur farms. There is really no room for doubt, as it is certain that most of the furs came from these sources.

Dear handcuffed,
its a shame this theme was a
YKINMK.
I hope the past and future ones will be more to you liking.
I feel that this sub thread is interfering with the fun of this game.
I look forward to you pictorial contributions in future themes.
If you read the rules
shell put in a proviso to contribute things that you dislike.
Perhaps you could have posted some of the "PETA" pictures that abound to put your point forward.
I you look I did in fact post one dedicated to you showing my sympathy to your point of view.
I am known on this site for being very placid .
But this constant bickering is making me livid.
Please do not cause me to tell shell to duck!!

I will freely admit that all camps involved with animal welfare/exploitation have also made serious errors in their intentions.
