Added the room selection panel. You can get to it via a button in the bottom right toolbar or by leaving all active channels.

Wanted to appologize to everyone about the chat downtime... Work has been kicking my ass, so I haven't had the time I need here to fix a mistake I made a couple weeks ago in grabbing the wrong version of the source when I needed to rebuild part of the chat server from the source... I'll be correcting the issue, so we don't have a memory leak, and we won't get hit by downtime from one tomorrow Sunday July 1st, assuming I don't end up at work all day.

As I said to seraph.

We are only now finding this issue, and the chat has been up for a long time without a single unexpected hiccup. One or two is to be expected, especially while still working on the chat.

Its completely fine, to be honest.

I can find the rooms and sign on with trillian on my laptop.
I can't do this on my xoom using trillian,
Even though I am signed on.
Any clues anybody please.
Sorry about the long delay Les. Trillian officially doesn't support XMPP Rooms (technically they don't have any built in handling for XEP-0045: Multi-User Chat) for their Android client. According to a November 2011 post, there is eventual plans to support it, but for now Xabber / Jabiru are the only two XMPP Android clients that I know of whom support it

Thanks for getting back.
Its annoying because I have a paid account to have it on Android.
Do you have an educated preference.
For Android 3 and 4

As an aside,
Last pass and Xmarks I also have paid accounts for Android but they won't work with Androids Firefox.

I'd go with Xabber over Jabiru as it gets updated more frequently, I think they write slightly cleaner code, and it's availble from the market. But I can't say I've used either one a ton... My favorite one Gibbetbot doesn't support MUC (rooms). The other one I know of is iMov but is more suited as a Trillian replacement, and being in beta is too buggy for me to recommend. Unfortunately neither facebook nor gmail make use of MUC (rooms) so all those XMPP clients that have been written mainly to benefit those services haven't bothered supporting it. Xabber is what I've resorted to when I've needed one (though I like Gibberbot a bit no MUC support).

I know just what you mean about X-Marks and LastPass as well, as I used to use those as well (I've switched to mainly using google bookmarks and chrome syncing / add-ons for other browsers).

I use dolphin on Android and firefox everywhere else,
Including portable firefox on USB key for use on any other's PC.

What is the latest news on the chat? It's a while since I have heard any updates or seen any added features.
Also it seems to be breaking down a little more regularly than it used to. Or is this just scheduled downtime that hasn't been announced on the boards?

Both Seraph0x and myself have been extremely busy in our personal lives, so progress has indeed been slower.

As it's gotten more popular an error has popped up, that I'm actively working on getting fixed, involving it suddenly running out of memory, but it's something that is solveable... I just need to figure out why our current JVM isn't taking in the parameter it's being passed setting it to have more memory.

Thanks for the update Turtle!
